 Will Spider-man 4 Bomb? everyone seems to say spidety 3 sucks but, it is making a boatload of bucks,. its gettign a new cast n crew. i see this at batman n robin, PART 2!

Like Spider-man 3, Batman Forever was a massive hype machine with overload of marketing, and it pulvarised the opening day and opening weekend records. It had bad legs for the time after tis 52.2 million record.
Batman And Robin opens to JUST 40 million. Same sized marketing campaign, bigger movie stars, but a 23% dip in opening weekend. B&R was a box office dissappointment from the day it opened. It turned into outright mega bomb in weekend 2. But like I said, if bf's wom hurt b&r that much, could do spidey 3 do it to?
spidey 3=145 opening-345 total
spidey 4=111 opening (-22%) 330 total if good, 250 if sucks.

I hope they don't go through with it, especially since they are possibly losing Kirsten and Toby. I hate this above all things. Changing the cast, especially the leads, in a movie franchise. And I say possibly losing, because you never know when it's all rumors, or publicity stunts. There were repots saying Emma Watson was leaving Potter, even stating they heard it from execs. So I'll leave it open until it is 100% final, and not as in Toby and Dunst even saying they arent doing it themselves, ever.
I dont think itd do as well as the first 3, with or without the same crew/cast.

that they ought to do is wait for 2012 and release spidey 4 than but have maguire and dunst back and give em kids, and play it as a spider-man comes out of retirement kind of movie.

yes. people have had enough of spidey at this point. 3 super huge event movies. if they go for 4 in 2010 it will dissappoint because theres no freshness left in the franchise. but if they wanteda couple additional years and had a good story, like coming out of retirement, it could cause mass hype.
