John Tucker had a good Sunday ... yay.
Pretty decent IM for Vice after all. Still don't think it's legs will be that great though.

I'm glad 'John Tucker' was a hit, and that it was under-estimated for the weekend. Looking at about $35M-$40M total. Great.
You, Me & Dupree is having strong weekend holds and nice weekdays....i see $80.5M finish. Fantastic.
Monster House had a horrible drop for a family/animated movie.
Hopefully the rest of August released will kick this "Ant Bully, Monster House, Barnyard" shite out of the chart quickly. They all seem like really low-effort, cash in's to me. And also in my opinion, The makers of September's animation...'Everyone's Hero'....must be shitting themselves.
Roll on Talladega Nights, The Descent, Pulse, The Illusionist, Invincible and, of course, Snakes On A Plane.

Still a 60% drop, but nice for Clerks. It was underestimated.

Nice increase for Miami Vice. Should end with around $70 million total.

Good increase for Miami Vice. It actually might make it all the way to $75 million. Still a flop in the US, but then it'll stand a chance at turning into profit somewhere along the road on DVD.
John Tucker Must Die increased only thanks to an underestimated Friday. Its Saturday drop ended up even worse. It's 25%!!!
I hope Scoop will get a deserved expansion, or it'll otherwise end up as A Prairie Home Companion, below its actual potential. I see around $11 million as of now, but it could also go way higher with a proper expansion.
Cars has become the second-bigget movie of the summer, but it also suffered its biggest drop thus far. It'll be a very tigher race between it and Toy Story 2 for the spot of the 4th biggest Pixar film. It'll certainly pass $240 million, but I am not so sure about $245 million anymore. Still, it is an EXCELLENT greoss and certainly more than almost everyone expected after its opening and second-weekend drop. It'll pass $500 million worldwide and be another bona fide hit for Pixar.
Over the Hedge almost hit the multiplier of 4. Splendid legs for this one as well. If not for Cars, it'd have passed $160 million with ease. It'll also do very well worldwide, better than Shark Rale, at least. I see about $410-430 million WW.
The Da Vinci Code will pass Saving Private Ryan next weekend and become Hanks' 3rd biggest live action film.
Congrats to Ice Age: The Meltdown for FINALLY passing $195 million. Who'd have thought it'd take this long?

Makes you wonder if VICE will do better more on DVD than theatrical since this gives Mann time to tinker with the movie some more and put back key scenes that should've been in the movie, like the Boat Race?? Maybe tighten the movie more or hell, I don't know.. I'm just thinking off the top of my head and still haven't seen this yet..

Good numbers for Miami Vice and John Tucker Must Die.
Pathetic for The Ant Bully. I knew it would perform badly, but not this badly.
Great for Little Miss Sunshine. Hopefully, it will perform well as it expands to more theaters.

Aunt Bully? That actually sounds like a good idea for a CGI film.
