Nice for The Benchwarmers. It'll make around $19-20 million for the weekend. Also, very good numbers for Slevin and Take the Lead, although Lead didn't do as great as expected.
Ice Age: The Meltdown had quite a drop, but it is frontloaded. It'll still have a great multiplier.

Downright horrible drop for Ice Age 2 (61% drop if those Friday #'s are true). But it should recover w/ Sat's #'s. But I do remember saying don't expect a great hold by Ice Age 2, because the first one didn't even have a spectacular one, and last week's weekend multiplier was poor, but even I didn't see it falling this much.
Great for Benchwarmers. Decent for Take The Lead
Inside Man just can't stabilize yet it seems. Another poor drop.
Benchwarmers really is the only redeeming part of these #'s...

Wow, pretty large drop for ATL and Ice Age 2.
Not surprised on Benchwarmers. I knew it would appeal more than what people though. Looked pretty funny, hope to see it tonight.

Ouch for Ice Age 2.

Ok, so I was wrong about the stupid BENCHWARMERS. Too bad, it looks like shit.
TAKE THE LEAD underperformed. I wouldn't doubt it will have good legs, though Easter weekend might help kill it faster.
SLEVIN did alright. It could have been worse. They should release it on DVD in July because I bet it would be a rental hit for sure.
PHAT GIRLZ disappointed.

$200 m is more of a stretch now IMO for Ice Age 2. It has the disadvantage of not having strong weekdays. It could be at $115 by the end of the weekend from say a $33 m weekend. At this point I'm going to peg it at $190ish m.

Note I predicted a big drop of Ice Age.
I tried to tell you a movie about "people" who have to leave their homes before the dams bust and flood their village might not be everyone's idea of entertainment right now.

I really doubt that's what caused the big drop. It's a frontloaded sequel in April.

I don't like seeing such high numbers for Rob Schneider films.

Who does?
I really liked The Hot Chick (one of my guilty pleasures), but the rest is really disposable, even Deuce...
Anyways, bad drop for Ice Age 2, proving that CGI films can drop like a rock too.. it'll still make 200 million plus another 400 million or so overseas, so... no reason to be disappointed

Good opening for The Benchwarmers.
Decent openings for Take The Lead (I wish this had opened higher- hopefully, it will have a nice Saturday increase) and Slevin.
Mighty big drop for Ice Age 2 but it will recover on Saturday and Sunday, I'm sure.
Kind of a boring weekend overall. Meh.

Well, I really am not surprised at The Benchwarmers' number. I mean, it is a baseball comedy and unlike Fever Pitch it does without romantic elements. Should make around $18-19 million over the weekend which would be spot on with my prediction. The Yahoo grade is pretty good, but the legs will be destroyed by Scary Movie 4's release next weekend, so I see a total of around $49 million or so.
Take the Lead disappointed slightly, but it should have good legs and end up with about $47 million.
Bad drop for Ice Age: The Meltdown. Probably the most frontloaded CGI-animated movie I have ever seen thus far. The weekend multiplier will be good, though, so we can look forward to a weekend gross of around $34 million. Still, a 2nd weekend drop of 50% is rather unexpected. Nonetheless, it is a lock for $200 million and still has got a chance at getting close to $250 million.
I can't believe that Stay Alive is still around. It will top $24 million.
Okay drop for Inside Man, but it could have been better. As it seems, the movie will finish with a similare gross as Panic Room, around $95 million.

Great for Benchwarmers, it's good and a nice boost for Schnieder and Spade's careers which were faltering a lot.
Ice Age 2...wow. WOM on this site wasn't so great, so that plus the sequel effect is what I believe happened.
Rest did just ok, but not as bad as they could've.
