Post Saturday numbers
From SBD:

CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, THE 5.0 146.6
KING KONG 4.9 100.4
FUN WITH DICK AND JANE 2.7 15.6
CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN 2 2.0 11.3
MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA 1.5 7.4
FAMILY STONE 1.5 23.0
MUNICH 1.1 2.5
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE 1.0 259.2
SYRIANA .7 27.5
RINGER, THE .7 3.1

As expected the more adult-targeted films dropped more, except for Munich, which had a nice hold (maybe from the Jewish audience?). The Ringer really had a big drop.

The Family Stone held better than I expected, while CBTD2 had a surprisingly big drop for a family movie.

Nice for the Munich hold; hopefully it can compliment that with a strong Christmas and Boxing Day and end up grabbing a stronger weekend gross. And super awesome for the giant The Ringer drop. That sure helps my prediction.

PEACE, Mike.

Wow, what's wrong with that? Everything dropped insanely hard, especially considering that some theatres at least stayed open. The Ringer dropped what? 70%????

Even Narnia dropped over 35% apparently.

Munich's drop is really nice, by the way. Maybe it can somehow make $7+ million for the 4-day span.

Exactly what I was thinking. Thats what, a 20% drop out of a bunch of 40-50% dippers? I think it'll grab a good Christmas gross, but a better Boxing Day gross (Not exactly the Christmas kind of movie, heh).

And I remain convinced Narnia will (Barely) pass Kong for the weekend.

I don't know what you were expecting, but I used 40-55% drops, depending on genre, for my predictions. There are some surprises, to be sure, especially The Ringer.

Wow, the 50% drop for Cheaper by the Dozen is going to be a Derby killer...that's at $6 million for the weekend with the potential of making $4-5 million Christmas Day and another $5 million plus on Monday... May of us (including me) thought it would make the amount it might make in six days in just three!

There's a $45,000 difference between Narnia and Kong for these first two days, in Narnia's favor.

When was the last time the #1 spot was decided by less then $1M?

I was using 35-40% declines, similar to last year, considering that many theatres stayed open. Also, for Narnia I expected something along the lines of The Polar Express, just a bit worse.

So, no weekend estimates due to Christmas then?

Not that'd know what to estimate or anything.

I meant Sunday, of course. I get it mixed up because of the stupid 4-day weekend.
