 It's 5th Weekend BEGINS!! 7.1M+
Yup.
I'm gonna continue supporting this. I'll be the first to admit that even though i thought it had a chance at a good WOM, i never thought it could have legs. But .. my opinion is changing of it. I was wrong about it's first weekend take but i love how the drops and gains for this movie worked out. Batman is seeing 30 mil come monday actual figures and nothing more than a 38% drop.
bABA has spoken. The box office will obey.

Although I don't think it will pass $30 million I am hoping it does! If it hits $30 million then it has a very very good chance at my $215 million 'prediction.'

I dont know how popular Bewitched is in US but I say Batman has a real good chance to be number one next weekend.
But unfortunately it will not get 30 (which btw would be very deserved)

It very much depends on its friday's increase. Mr and Mrs Smith had a 90%+ increase for friday. Hulk had 40% for friday. T3 had 63%. I think somehwere between 60-70% would be good

A large portion of the audience is over 25, so I'm sure the increase will be around 70%.

I'm not sure it can get over $30M, but I'm predicting it to edge Bewitched for #1, as of now.

thats not a fair comparison, T3 had to deel with the 4th of July being on its first friday.

Well its quite fair since BB was released on wednesday so the increase for a friday wasnt going to act like Shrek 2 but I cant compare it to Spiderman 2 or Matrix Reloaded since they opened much higher

There daily patterns are just not at all similar enough for any comparisons of the two to be fair, and I can not find even one film to compare BB to ](*,) It started out just as frontloaded as most blockbusters do but then it exploded like a shrek 2 ( but on a lesser scale) into the wknd :???: So with no films to compare BB to I think any predictions posted for its 2nd wknd are going to be purely the opinions of all of us. As for me I see it landing anywere between 25m-27m. Anything obove that would make me very happy

What? I'm confused. :???: BJ is absolutely right. That's not a fair comparison because July 4th is the worst holiday for movies, and T3 happened to have its first Friday on that day. It's the reason why it increased only 9%. It would have increased much more if it wasn't for July 4th. The logic of using it as a counter-argument against Casey's statement was therefore flawed.

But it would increase at least 60% if the Hulk increased 40% too. T3 was able to increase 62% and it almost follows the same pattern as BB. Well not as good

they are not fair comparisons, those films all showed signs of frontloading in the opening wknd alone, BB has not done that al all.

BJ, ones a comic book movie and the other was an action film that had a huge fanbase but lost most of it due to a wait too long among people 25 and over. I think its fair since BB fits both those

Im not talking about what tipe of film each of them is here, Im talking about box office performance so far in each films run. BB clearly out performs all those comparisons.

No we dont need any comparison charts to see if films are performing similarly, the last two films posted are once agian not good comparisons, one is a friday opener and the otrher opens over 4th of july wknd, which seems to be a favored wknd for most wednesday openers.
