If it doesn't cross $100 million, I've already got your movie picked out, Mavy.

No, Mav is (partially) right. It dropped to 1,853 on Wednesday and will drop to 1,183 on Friday.

I do, too, now. Maybe Sean's having problems entering correct info.

By the way, it's not just the theatre loss that will hurt WTL, it's also the adult competition it'll be getting from Geisha, Brokeback, Munich and The Producers.

Retard... go host the KJ Idol game that you couldn't handle and leave the thinking to those of us with sense, huh? This thread shows what a complete idiot you are.

And mods, these are the names I will call him everytime he addresses me. If you don't like it, then I suggest one of you guys have a talk with him which should have been done awhile back.

I see. I didn't think about that and didn't expect it to lose theaters on Wednesday. Losing these many theaters going into Christmas is unexpected and really hurt. It wouldn't have mattered if it happens after new year, but this could cut $3-4M into the total gross, and after new year, it'll be down to $1M. Globes ceremony will still be a couple of weeks away, and oscar nominations will be 4 weeks away. It'll be very close, and my predicted date may be right on the mark.

Without a re-release it won't make it. Definitely.

With a re-release, it most likely will.

But hey, at least it makes the bet more interesting than ever and even if WTL reaches $100 million, it's not going to happen very soon.

How about you do your job and tell the little freak to quit constantly following me around and trying to start shit. Do you want to see who can start shit better, me or him? I'll guarantee I'll make him look like a preschooler, which is about the mentality he has anyway.

Take care of the problem or I will.

You can keep sitting in that rocking chair, watching the sea coming in, enveloping all of the scenic coast that you love. But you can't change it, all you can do it sit there watching. Old man, times have changed since you were a young boy.

It's actually a bit puzzling that they would cut it off like that when it's still making money. I'm sure 100 million will be reached.

Well, I'm sure everybody considers you the voice of wisdom around here and not the dummy of the forums...

Mav, it might be making money, but imagine you are a theatre owner and you have a choice between keeping WTL that is many weeks old or getting one of the hot new releases that are all guaranteed to make more than WTL at your theatre...of course you drop WTL then.

I think you're still frustrated. It's not every day that a almost sure-thing blows up in your face. Now it's 50-50, and it's getting really fun.

If I were a theater owner, I would have seen Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.

I don't see this being a problem, as it'll hold there plenty long enough to still be in enough theaters when it's expanded again.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Now THERE is a movie that deserved more money and more recognition.

It'd be a good choice, but we still won't know if Walk the Line will pass $100 million or not by the time Bloodrayne comes out. I don't expect that film to run through March. Heh.

MARCH 31st

Quote:
ATL
Director: Chris Robinson
Stars: (Full Cast)
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures Inc.

The Plot: Love blooms at an Atlanta roller rink between ace skater Rashad (T.I.) and the rink's sweetest employee, New New (London).

THE BUZZ: Though ATL shares much in common with the underappreciated Roll Bounce, it was actually in development before Bounce rolled into theaters last September. Big the difference is ATL is more, uh, crunk? Music video director Chris Robinson makes his debut, based on an idea by TLC's T-Boz and superstar producer Dallas Austin.

I think if it doesn't reach 100 million, but gets like 99 million that his prediction is way close enough to be considered great and you should make him go see something that would be actually good... like Inside Man or A Scanner Darkly.

We'll see how close it gets. Maverikk already sees "good" films, so it's hard to choose a "good" film when he's probably got it on his list already.

The Inside Man is like a present.

Stay Alive

Starring: Frankie Muniz, Sophia Bush

Plotline/Synopsis: While playing an online horror game, a group of teens notice that once their characters die ... they die.

Release Date: Sometime in March 2006

...

Lol. Yeah, it stars my avatar and I already knew about this movie.. But this would be hilarious anyways.
