Real victory for makers and specially a very smart marketing from Fox. Such a HUGE success way more impressive than $1b of Hobbit IMO.

I was no big fan of the film.
But these numbers are all kind of amazing.
BTW, it's only the second worldwide $500+ million grosser ever to have more than 80% of its gross coming from overseas. Ice Age: Continental Drift is another.

The reason the film did well is because it has a great story that really focuses one's beliefs and values...
Full of great visual effects as well.
It was a very good well thought film and simply a film for decent minded folks... Hollywood rarely makes decent minded films these days.
