 Re: Wednesday Numbers
Indeed. Wouldnt be surprised with 70% of BO coming from OS.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
I agree. So if it were to do 100 Million here that would be pretty damn great.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
If SKYFALL does indeed $34m this weekend (and BOs estimate looks realistic to me), it'll be the 9th biggest 3rd weekend of all-time... http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/we ... e=3&p=.htm

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
The Expendables 2 closed 11/22 so say BOM. So two days (weds and thurs) still need to be reported. They should be inflated due to Thanksgiving.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
If it really pulls off $50 million in five days, then I think $300 million will happen. I mean it needs to get above $295 million, from there on Sony will do anything to push it above.

The rest is measly pocket change. Don't see why it matters anymore . And an increase might not happen considering it was released on DVD on Tuesday and lost theaters.

How do you know it lost theaters for its last two days? It's said that nowhere. And it increased on Tuesday, the day of the DVD release, so of course it will increase on Weds and Thurs too. But yeah, it doesn't really matter that much, I just want to know it's final final final gross is all.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
BOM states its final domestic gross. Even though they say it closed on the 22nd, it might be a mistake. It makes sense since most movies lost theatres on Wednesday with Wednesday acting as Friday (=opening day) this week.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
To be fair to Algren, I have closely followed Lawless' daily numbers. It will be out on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
BOM is incorrect. It's playing at the Norwalk 8 and the Picture Show @ Main Place (2800 Main St., Santa Ana, CA 92705) on Friday. It's also playing in Pittsburgh at the Carmike Maxi Saver 12. So that's at least 3 theaters.
Well, it's not rare that BOM are incorrect.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
I was about to say that. However, it is not just BOM's fault. Sometimes, studios just decide to stop reporting the numbers.

That's fine if they stop reporting numbers, but BOM have declared the movie as "closed", and they mean that as an opposite to "opened", not as to mean 'numbers are not reported anymore', so BOM are incorrect.

I assume that is the case with many many movies. Like this one too http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=d ... friend.htm

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
It's playing at these cinemas next week:
The Norwalk 8 (Norwalk, CA) The Picture Show @ Main Place (Santa Ana, CA) Carmike Maxi Saver 12 (Pittsburgh, PA) Cinema City Movies 12 (Edmonton, Canada) Moviedome (Calgary, Canada)
So that's at least 5 theaters still playing it. Canada is fully covered, but there seems to be no site for the USA where I can check all of the theaters that a movie is playing at unless I check each city individually, which is pretty time consuming.
If it stays like this and I can't find anymore that are playing it, then that's a pretty steep theater drop from 95 on 22nd Nov to 5 on 23rd Nov.

 Re: Wednesday Numbers
Considering that BD2 opened below NM and and will end up in the same pace after this weekend, I think BD2 will likely end up around 295+ million.

I think Lincoln will get #1 next weekend. It is just too strong at this point IMO. BD2 like last few movies will crash and burn.
