Unbelievable, I thought it could make 22 but that was a maybe. 24.5 is huge.

This...just...how???? And it's not like it barely beat those films. It absolutely obliterated them. I know, right? It DOUBLES the #4 film on this list. How many other lists are like that????

Re: Monday Numbers (TDK number only in so far)
Well a 200m 5 day is most certaily a lock at this point. Even with a 25% drop today it still reaches 200m.
67.17 - 47.65 -29.1% 43.60 -8.5% 24.49 -43.8% 18.37 -25.0% 5 day total = 201.3 million
I dont see this record being broken for quite some time...

As I recall, the original Batman held the record for fastest to $100m. Kinda makes sense for another Batman to hold the record for fastest to $200m.

I dont see this record being broken for quite some time... And it might top 300 million by TH EEND OF THE WEEKEND! That would break the curren t10 day total by like, 50 million!

Re: Monday Numbers (TDK number only in so far)
It is going to slice the "Fastest to $400m" record in HALF!!! Seriously, project it!
As long as TDK grosses over $70m second weekend, it has #2 ALL Time Domestic in the bag. If it grosses above $75m second weekend, it has an extremely solid chance of passing $500m

Re: Monday Numbers (TDK number only in so far)
If it has DMC drops the rest of the week and on the weekend, it will only be $1.5 million short of passing $300 million on Sat, day 9.
Since it has outperformed DMC in every way, I seriously think 9 days, and $300 million goes down.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory opened in the same spot three years ago. It had a 3.67 multiplier. TDK is looking to have a weekend drop around the same as Charlie (maybe even lower). Charlie then had a 42% on 3rd, 33% on 4th, 32% on 5th, etc. If TDK mimics Charlies legs, it will get 580m+.
And I feel that if TDK is put in a position where it is only like 25m within Titanic, WB will push it hard again. I could see WB trying to push it over Titanic by expanding it come September and maybe trying to help boost its award season chances.
I don't think it'll do it yet but....it is within the realm of possibilty. What was Charlie's 2nd weekend drop?

TDK's Saturday-Sunday-Monday 3 day total is over 115 mil/Spidey 1's OW, and would've been the 4th highest of all time! Remember how immortal that record was not that long ago? Wow. TDK's Monday is 3 mil over The Incredible Hulk's OD!

I don't think it'll do it yet but....it is within the realm of possibilty. Just because of the sheer amount it's getting this early on, I can't help but think it's going to be impossibly frontloaded. It just hasn't met demand yet. Best case scenario: Small drop Tuesday, big drop Wednesday, big drop Thursday, small rise Friday, big drop weekend. Overall, mightily impressive overall gross (cracking $400m), but nowhere near record-breaking.
