WALL-E is dissapointing. Id hoped itd be a runaway legs smash. No such luck. Legs in cinema are truly dead and this one was a hard sell for kids (no dumb jokes or referential slapstick)

Nothing left to say, really. Phenomenal and well-deserving opening weekend for TDK.

158. The Dark Knight $155,340,000
If it gets a little higher it could match up it's opening weekend with it's rank on the all time charts!

That's great. Oh and how about that overall weekend total of $253,000,000? Not too shabby at all.

 Re: Weekend Estimates (July 18-20)
Brilliant, excel.
Can someone remind me, was it that guy from comingsoon.net that said that breaking the opening weekend record was impossible this past week? Some major website said it, if I'm remembering it correctly (or I'm making it up).

 Re: Weekend Estimates (July 18-20)
Wow...I mean...wow. This is unprecedented. For a sequel to a $200 million grosser to break $150 million in its opening weekend in our day and age. I think we just got another Shrek 2 on our hands.

 Re: Weekend Estimates (July 18-20)
Mindblowing.
Though chances are that WB inflated the number by a bit. Still i don't think it will go down to 5 -6 million. If it does then obviously they did it for bragging rights afterall everyone remembers the weekend estimates than the actuals.

 Re: Weekend Estimates (July 18-20)
www.boxofficeguru.comQuote: Falling one spot was Will Smith's own take on being a superhero, Hancock, which tumbled 56% to an estimated $14M in its third outing. The Sony blockbuster has grossed a sturdy $191.5M in 19.5 days and is still following the same path as 2005's Independence Day weekend offering War of the Worlds which had taken in $192.4M by the same point. That Tom Cruise pic finished its run with $234M and Hancock looks likely to end up with just under that amount. Globally, Smith's latest zoomed to $444M and will crash through the half-billion barrier in a week. That's more interesting to me. That Hancock was able to break 500 worldwide. Wow. Maybe Will Smith should have been Nick Fury. Am I wrong for suggesting that thought?
