Devil Wears Prada - The peak show hit 69 people, the first time no sold out shows on a Saturday as well. It increased 44% from yesterday.

Scott, it seems as if Pirates is still selling out. How does that affect the next week's screen count? Do they look at how full the theatres are and decide to keep it? Or is the screen-count schedule dictated by the new releases making demands on the theatres for screens?

And it must suck to have to play a movie to an EMPTY house. At one point I was the only one in a late showing of FotR and it felt really weird.

You think that's bad? I saw Slither opening day in a theater where I was the only one present.

I saw Miami Vice last night.

I wanted to hit someone.

5 people walked out a little less than halfway through and shouted "This movie blows"

And 1 guy sitting about 3 rows in front of me held up his phone every 10 or so minutes to check his text messages.

But everything besides that was nice...

9.2/10 A-

Very sad...especially if you think that films like When a Stranger Calls sold out some showings...

I think it could keep some of the medium size theaters, considering that the openers (especially Ant Bully), wont need them. Also, Barnyard is not getting any of the big theater, thanks to Ant Bully's performance.
