Get it? It's called a 'lame attempt at humour'. That man should be fired. Or murdered.

Tea Leoni is an awful, shrill little hag. I can't blame people for not wanting to see the film, I think I'd avoid just about any movie that she starred in. I fully believe that she is unquestionably the least likable actress alive.

I think maybe King Kong might have the biggest increase of all movies on Friday (excluding opening movies). The 3-hour running time is a major factor.

You may be right about her. Maybe Dick and Jane will show a better side of her, but likeability has never been anything she has conveyed in her roles.

I think that with its 1-day gross Rumor Has It will be #8 for the weekend. King Kong, Munich, Fun with Dick and Jane, CBTD2, Narnia, Memoirs of a Geisha and The Family Stone are the only ones I see getting ahead of it.

They should've cast Judi Dench as the female support in FWD&J, seriously. Carrey and his mom, awww... That would've been 200 mil in the bank easy.
Hell, almost any single actress would be a better choice than Leoni. Penelope Cruz, Anna Faris, Madonna(hah), Rachel Bilson, Brooke Shields, Molly Ringwald, Marisa Tomei, Helen Hunt, ... etc.

Most of those would be even worse then Leoni ( and this is coming from someone that finds Leoni very annoying )
Bilson as Carrey's wife

I'm gonna go out on a wild prediction and say that FUN with DICK and JANE Ends up as #1 for this weekend, for the simple fact it's Jim Carrey, moviegoers want a good comedy over Christmas, the reviews won't matter worth a #### and it's not a ridiculous 3 hours plus long and not to mention the fact that KONG is FINISHED.. If Carrey's movie bumps KONG to #2, I'll be anxious to hear what the next Top 10 Reasons are for why KONG got plummeled..
REVISED: After reading USA TODAY this morning and the reviews for CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN 2 and FUN WITH DICK AND JANE, Both of which received 2 stars, I'm even more convinced now that both movies are going to hurt KONG ALOT this weekend simply because moviegoers don't listen to critics and want to see a good comedy and be the judges themselves.. Both movies also are probably 90 Minutes to which is better than 3 hours and 8 minutes.. We shall see in any event..

I can't find the latest tracking info on the new movies. Does anybody know the latest numbers from Major Theaters Chains and Reel Source?

Couldn't agree more. She was abominably awful in JP3 and especially Spanglish. God, she was annoying as hell in that film. If they were smart, Hollywood executives would stop giving her roles and we'd all be better for it.

If Fun with Dick And Jane bombs, studios should stop putting Tea Leoni in movies. Its amazing what she can do with the box office run even when paired with Adam Sandler and Nicholas CAge

Just think about what a Tea Leoni and Ben Kingsley movie would do with a $200 m budget!

She was the best thing about SPANGLISH. She gave an excellent performance in a stupid, pointless film. The reason it didn't set the B.O. on fire is because it sucked and also because a lot of Sandler's fans are males who want to see him acting immature and screaming, not as a family man in a dramedy.
I don't even really remember her performance in JP3 but that movie sucked enough on its own so I highly doubt she made it worse.
As for FUN WITH DICK AND JANE, the movie looks "OK." Jim Carrey seems to give another obnoxious, over-the-top, and highly unfunny performance, but I do like the concept and it could be entertaining enough. She seems better in it than him, at least she won't be incredibly grating. I can't stand annoying slapstick comedy.
