...and now it, just like Fandango, has crashed.

The 7:00 IMAX show that I'm going to sold out about ten minutes after I got the tickets.

Fandango seems to only work for me on my phone through the app. I dunno if I should choose between 7 or 10:30 IMAX...

And that did an adjusted 173 million in 5 days in May. Nowhere close to the current OW record

Without IMAX, without 3D, without five extra hours that'll get rolled into opening day, in less than 3,000 theaters, and in a far less frontloaded era.

this statement is dumb on so many levels. but if you're going to play the adjusted game, TPM did 750m+ adjusted.

Go home, zwackerm, you're drunk.

Imax will add 3-4 million onto the weekend gross

3-D will add 25 million, so that's 28-29 million extra.

173 million 5-day would probably translate to 130-135 million 3 day normal. Adjust that down 15% due to the December release date backloading for 110-115 2-d OW. Add the 3-d and you get 135-140 OW.

Theater count didn't affect TPM's opening. There were just more sell outs. Still plenty of open seats.

May 1999 is still going to be more front loaded than December 2015. It's December a totally different beast.

Plus, less people overall go to the movies now with the rise of home media/internet/piracy/digital download. Plus, going to the movies was way cheaper.

So an opening in the 130-150 range is totally precedented.

Looks awesome, although this felt more like a teaser than a trailer. I guess it's cool not that much of the story is given.
