Chinese total should be 10.5m $ and not 14.2m $.

Aha, good catch; correct, 76.6m RMB is $10.2m. Still the math isn't right if it really grossed $4m for the Friday-to-Sunday portion. That'd mean really weak weekdays. Anyway, suppose the total of 76.6m RMB so far is correct, the gross for the entire second week would be $4.8m, which would point to a $15-16m finish.

true...either weekend can't be 4m$ or total can't be 10.2m$....only 0.8m$ from weekdays is not possible....have to wait for BOM to let this thing clarified....

That would be incredible. For it to beat Chamber of Secerts overses is something. That would make the second highest Potter film overseas.

Especially because CoS made 145 of its 615 millions in Japan, while OOTP doesn't have that push.

BoM has now 67 million in Japan so it made 14 million during last week and only 2.7 million on weekend. Possibly due to holidays.

In UK it declined only 16% (1.8 million weekend) though I'm not sure about BoM's total there (91.7 million).

OOTP has been helped by Central America, Russia and China. The first two movies didn't do very well in those markets. If Japan could ever rebound for Potter than a futuer Potter film (DH most likely) could make 700 OS.

At the same time, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," maintaining a brisk pace at its sixth weekend of international release, reached a cume of $591.2 million as it brought in the $15.6 million from 6,500 prints in 62 territories. The film held the No. 1 position in Japan for a second straight weekend, earning $2.6 million from 631 screens for a market cume to date of $63.4 million. In its second weekend in China, Harry and friends generated $3.2 million from 525 prints for a market cume of $13.4 million.

Still not right for China. It's as if they added another $3.2m to the $10.2m number. Can't have a $13.4m total with a $3.2m weekend since that'd mean almost $5m midweek.

OK, finally got a report from sina: 101m RMB ($13.4m) in 9 days. So the total is correct.

That'd be about $8m for the second week, so add another $8m for a $21m finish.

I agree, heck the way it is performing overseas it could still make close to 640. I am going to say 635 right now. It should defintely pass Shrek 2 for 8th on the all time list and has at TPM and TTT.

IF you don't count IMAx, Hp5 has passed spiderman 3 in Canada to be the top film this year with 31.27 million compared to Spidermans 3 30.57 million.

However spiderman 3 got an extra 2.5 million from Imax.
