Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $475.6m (#97
The UK estimate obviously makes no sense, if it opened to £9.2m and increased on Saturday (according to Screen International) then obviously it will make more than £23m.

According to BoM foreign total went up from $307m to $312.3m
Domestic: $169,189,427 35.1% + Foreign: $312,300,000 64.9% = Worldwide: $481,489,427

That is very good probably some of it was from the UK since the estimate never made any sense.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-2: Deathly Hallows (INTL.) - $475.6m (#97
Updated numbers from BoM
Not surprisingly, Potter's top territory was its native United Kingdom. It earned $37.8 million, which represented the biggest three-day weekend ever. It also obliterated the previous opening weekend record in Australia, where it debuted to $27.1 million. While it didn't set any weekend records in its other major territories, it still raked in boatloads of cash in Germany ($26 million), France ($24.5 million), Japan ($21.9 million), Russia ($19.5 million), Mexico ($15.8 million), Italy ($15.7 million), South Korea ($11.3 million), Brazil ($11 million) and Spain ($8.7 million).
+$1.2m in UK +0.4m in Australia +0.3m in Germany +0.6m in France +0.5 mln in Mexico +0.6 mln in Italy +0.3 mln in Korea +0.4 mln in Spain.

Wednesday) If it follows any of the other HP's trajectories, it'll end up like this: Halfblood Prince (3.09) €12.1 million (worst multiplier of the entire series). Deathly Hallows pt.1 (3.5) €14.1 million (bloody terrible multiplier for a winter HP release). Order Of The Phoenix (3.7) €14.6 million Prisoner of Azkaban (3.85) €15.1 million. Goblet Of Fire (4.2) €16.7 million Chamber Of Secrets (5.7) €22.4 million Philosopher's Stone (6.18) €24.4 million (lol) I don't even KNOW what happened with Deathly Hallows pt.1, those are some terrible legs. At least HP6 opened to €800K more and probably faced some hot summer weather, but Deathly Hallows pt.1 has no such excuse. New Kids Turbo which opened pretty big a week later had a multiplier of 6... One of over 4 would have been better. Avatar's legs would have been great too, but somehow expecting a 16.0 multiplier and €36 million total seems unfair even for a winter release. I'm hoping for legs around those of POA, but that might be expecting too much. Still, it would be nice if the last one could break €15 million. Somehow mimicing HP1 and topping Titanic seems unlikely. What a one sided Top 10 opening chart, i think it needs a touch of middle earth in there

ROTK already improved vastly over FOTR (€1.7 mill versus €1 mill) and it fell over 100K short of the lowest opening HP film. The LOTR films (and really, no other film series except maybe Pirates) just don't have such big openings, and have better legs in general. For example, while the opening weekend top 10 is dominated by all eight HP films, only two of them are in the all-time top ten grosses (HP1 at #4, HP2 at #8) while the LOTR films are at #6, #9 and #3. It's not just about going all out at the start, some staying power is good too.

Worldwide Total now stands at a massive $542.2m. It should easily cross TH2 ($$562.3) and KFP2 ($582.2) today (Tuesday in US). I see it quite close to Fast Five and should cross $600m mark by Wednesday

Okay, so it will be at $800+ million worldwide after its second weekend....I mean WTF? We all knew it'd be big, but barely anyone expected it to be this enormous. And China is still ahead where it'll make at least another $50 million.
$1.2+ billion seems extremely likely with a 50/50 shot at $1.3+ billion.

I just realized Pirates 4 opened to "only" about $260m, that $285m figure included monday. Considering this and the fact DH2 still has China, i deem $900m+ overseas as highly probable, it wouldn't even surprise me if DH2 comes pretty close to a billion overseas.

Anything above $1.2B would depend on how much it slows down in its 3rd and 4th weekend.

It seem slike you are against Harry Potter on principle making its protagonists are kids and you see it as family entertainment (which it started out as, but was no longer at some point). So just watch all the films (in order) and then decide.

I didn't want to waste any more of my money on that series. I gave it 3 chances, very generous of me.
