Man of Steel with all previews opened with $128,681,486.
With inflation I'm gonna predict this is gonna do the same OW. If it's very well received it'll do 350m+.

Looks good all around thought it is missing a true wow shot or moment. The music is aces

Looks decent but visual effects scenes seem better than the rest of the movie again.

Looks great. Krypto is the money shot, its one of the few things this film is offering that other Supermen have not.

 Re: S U P E R M A N - 7/11/25
It's a good teaser. It should do strong numbers ($300m-ish) but whether it can break out beyond will depend on the film itself.
Krypto is indeed the money shot. Knew they would use him in the tease but expected him at the end not the start.

I think its a good teaser as well and promising. I'm going to say I won't be shocked by a Wonder Woman type run for $400M especially with inflation.

 Re: S U P E R M A N - 7/11/25
Krypto is the winner for sure. That said there are too many SH shoehorned into this including Green Lantern and Mr Terrific. At least they have not revealed the main baddie. I am told Luthor is not that.
If this gets strong reviews like Gunn's SH movies, it should be able to sustain the hype to good OW and domestic run. I think its the favorite against Fantastic Four as well.

Lois Lane is supposed to be a baddie. Mid Superman, mid Lois Lane, awful CGI overload, corny vibe. I am a hater.

It looks massive and fun. It will have a lot of talking points so I expect it to be the summer blockbuster. Over $350m guaranteed

Looks like F4 needs to move back a week or maybe forward to June.

They have Predator:Badlands in that spot right now but that could go amywhere and gross the same. No chance they'd wanna let F4 hype get muffled in any way by an overperforming Superman (if thats what happens.)

Went to see Sonic 3 Thursday afternoon and they played the Superman trailer and it had 2 new scenes added. Shared them on twitter & they blew up

Hype is for real. I think this opens close to $200M.

The trailer is so wacky (and so very Gunn) that this just might work! I'm intrigued.

Hmm. Both those scenes were in the trailer I saw online.

Random trivia unrelated to the trailer but I just read that the Superman actor's grandfather is the author and creator of the Choose Your Own Adventure book series. That seemed like a popular 90s book series that would do really well if they figure out a way to do it as a movie.

They'd need to have an interactive session where people can vote on a handheld device what next and the majority result would lead into the next scene. It would be gimmicky but could be a success if done right - at least while still a novelty.
