Re: November 16-18 Predictions
At least it'll past $60m. That's something, I guess. It would have never made it to $70m anyway.

I'm not sure. I mean, I would have expected it to, but there must be some females who won't be interested in the new Twilight. There's no new comedy movie competition, and then it might also benefit from spillover business. Like David mentioned, Taken 2 held really well in the face of Skyfall. It seemed likely it would be crushed by it. I obviously expect a bigger drop from Pitch Perfect with the competition, but I'm still predicting it to drop in the 30's (my prediction is 32%).

Critics are giving it 3/4 starts or 3/5 stars. They are saying that it is not a great film but it at least good thanks to Bill Condon and a very good ending and should make fans very happy. They are saying it is by far better then the book ending. I have a feeling that fans will call this the best and that's all that matters. After 4 movies fans got the ending they wanted.

The way it looks right now BD will be huge winner with fans and boxoffice. Good reviews is a plus. It's really a win win no matter how you look at.

Many of the early reviews they have in as fresh are not numerical reviews, RT decides whether they are fresh or rotten. RT also does this on borderline reviews where a number could go either way. I don't much care that RT marks them as fresh, it's all good...I was just saying that by the previous films being so dreadfully awful, a review of "its better than the previous ones, but still not good" is considered a positive review.

Re: November 16-18 Predictions
I am impressed with BD2's score, that's a big jump from BD1. From what I have read is that there are some tweaks and modifications from the book and even though the first half is sluggish (aka routine twilight level) the second half is where fun begins and the end battle scene has some really interesting shots, the one that most critics have been waiting for.
It is not exactly a definitive end like HP movies and then ofcourse the general twilight hate from rest of the movies really cannot make them say this good but overall it is much better than the previous entries and a satisfying end to the series.....I do think FEW of them are being kind and giving this a good rating just because it is the last of the series.

Average rating is where it's at. Pretty poor.

Low bar. That's also what happened with Episode 3.

Revenge of the Sith has a 7.2/10 average, Nazgul (higher than Return of the Jedi). Please return to reality and not angry fanboy land.

Am I wrong? We're talking about raw numbers, not "I liked it or I didn't like it."
