Is Sex and the City as big in Austria as it seems? I don't have an all-time admissions list handy. But the fact that it seems to be keeping up with Indy is pretty damn impressive.

It's doing pretty good so far but I expected it to do even better. Indy get's pretty much killed with the Euro so it's not a hard feat for SatC to come out on top.

Do people still watch now that Austria went out so quick and effortlessly? :P

 I refuse to answer this question.

:)

Well we're getting better weather here again so I doubt that those (not many though) people who stopped watching will make much of an impact.

Yep, I really hope he recovers a lot when the Euro is over but I have my doubts and Hancock in 2 weeks will give it the rest.

Looks like Euro 08 is hitting Austrian BO hard. It's only until Sunday though and there are only two matches left.
Russia to beat Spain! :D

Interesting. The Happening is bigger than FSM in Germany.

And Sex and the City is #1 for 5 weeks straight now.

Yeah, I reallly thought this would be a lock for 4 million admissions here, but the weather KILLED its second weekend and then Euro 2008 started.... Now it's looking at 2.7-2.8 million now, not much more than Live Free or Die Hard actually.

This is really disappointing for kung Fu Panda. This was supposed to be the next Madagascar.

Outstanding for Hancock.

Great to see some life at the movies again. Smith now has the two best openings 2008 so far (I Am Legend 115.586). Amazing.

It is a bit disappointing - I don't have the MADAGASCAR opening, but OVER THE HEDGE did 113,293 admissions in its opening week two years ago...

Oh yeah. I can't believe why Kung Fu Panda drew in not that much audience.

I thought the concept would be perfect for Austrians.
Maybe all the adults went to Hancock and next weekend they'll go to KFP? :|
