I've seen 14 movies so far this year, with 12 in theaters:

On a trip:

Failure To Launch
The Pink Panther

Theaters (12):

POTC 2
Superman
Xmen 3
Cars
Da Vinci Code
Over The Hedge
Inside Man
Nacho Libre
The Omen
Underworld/Date Movie (I'm not sure if this counts at 1 or 2 films, we went to Date Movie, thought it sucked after 30 minutes of watching it, and then we got tickets instead for Underworld, which was about 40 minutes in)
Doogal - Forced to see this. :nonono:

I would say that is not good. I think I see around 300-400 a year and that is too much. You become desensitized towards most of the stuff you see. I mean, at some point last year I found myself thinking about the movie's grade during the film rather than the film itself. Eh...I think too much is, well, too much.

Desentized in what way? Obviously you don't mean violence which is what people always use the word "desentized" when discussing.

No, desentized towards any appreciation of films altogether.

That can't be completely true or else a person like that (me and most film critics like Ebert) would hate everything. I liked Hard Candy and Slither for instance.

I didn't say you start hating movies. It is just the way you see movies changes. You mostly see movies as if it is your obligation/job (whatever) and not for "fun"... Not always, but most of the time.

Jesus Christ. I sure hope you didn't pay for all of them. Depends on where you live, but that would total up to 625 dollars. And it's only July!

Nope, I didn't pay for all of them (at $5.50 each that would cost a fortune over time)

I'm seeing more in theaters during the summer, but during the school year, I'm lucky to manage one per weekend.

I dont know why you would even subject yourself to see Aquamarine or Phat Girlz. I know you didnt pay for it but still you would sit there and watch them
