Wow, what's wrong with that? Everything dropped insanely hard, especially considering that some theatres at least stayed open.

I think it's mostly that people just are not interested in going to movies on that night. Even Munich was mostly empty when I saw it at 7pm yesterday, and it had the best hold.

I was using 35-40% declines, similar to last year, considering that many theatres stayed open. Also, for Narnia I expected something along the lines of The Polar Express, just a bit worse.

The Polar Express was a christmas movie.

Anyone willing to go on fight with projections?

Mine are probably either fantastic, or utterly terrible.

30.1 Kong
29.3 Narnia
18.3 Dick and Jane
13.8 Dozen 2
10.5 Geisha
5.8 Ringer
9.0 Family Stone
6.3 HP4
5.9 Munich

10.0 Rumour
5.0 Wolf
3.0 Producers (pure prediction)

I'll go with:
3-day/4-day
Kong - 24.5m/36m
Narnia - 18m/29m
Dick and Jane - 16m/24m
Dozen - 8m/13.5m
Geisha - 7.5m/11m
Munich - 4.6m/6.4m
HP4 - 3.5m/5.7m

I wonder how much Universal paid Nick Nunziata from CHUD to plead to people to see KONG over NARNIA this weekend??? I mean, you know a movie REALLY is in trouble when the owner of CHUD is on his knees pleading for people to see this movie and when it comes right down to it: No one cares and no one asked for a KING KONG remake..

The Ringer sucks. I'm very glad.

Sorry to hear you didn't like The Ringer - but I'm still looking forward to reading your critique in the "Everyone's A Critic" forum...
