Pretty impressive opening in $ but counted in admissions it somewhere around 140k adm and that not that impressive. I'll put the day 1 information in adm when I'll collect more data.

Warner Bros.’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 grossed a massive $475.6 million in its worldwide debut, by far the best showing of all time.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was the previous crown holder at $394 million.
Deathly Hallows 2’s opening overseas clocked in at $307 million, while it earned $168.8 million in North America.

Just like i predicted, $350m was much too high, about $300m max. With actuals it might rise above $310m, though.

I expect it to be at $520+ million overseas by the end of its second weekend and $790+ million worldwide.

It'll break $1 billion worldwide by the end of its fourth weekend at latest.

Besides the usual (UK), Australia and Italy had some fantastic openings. Italy almost beat Mexico (a country with almost twice the population). Superb.

$1B WW in 4th weekend is all but guaranteed, unless it falls sky-high next weekend in OS markets. The only question is how much higher can it go? It is highly likely that it will take #3 spot from ROTK in WW chart, though I think that will be just barely for about $1.15b

The most it can make is around 1.2 billion. I see it doing about 850 OS.

I'm thinking around $1.25 billion worldwide. The Hobbit will be the next one reaching these heights, probably with around $1.4 billion worldwide.

It'll land somewhere between $800m and $900m OS, ROTK is toast WW.

Take solace in The Hobbit reclaiming the glory next year.

Oh and we should keep in mind that it hasn't opene in China yet where we should expect at least another $50 million.

I think Avatar made that kinda relative when it passed $2 billion...I mean making it to hald of the current overseas record isn't THAT unbelievable. I mean ROTK got to well more than Titanic's then record $1.2 billion overseas. You need to see it from that perspective.

Yeah, more often then not they would rise. Especially for such a wide release like, some small markets may not get their numbers in until a bit latter.

Pirates 4 is definately going down that's for sure.

With no major competition coming up, it's going to have one lengthy run especially wiht the incredible WOM it got.

Europe has been a true standout for Potter this time, they've all come back to support.

I don't know, i gotta feeling the Hobbit may not be that big Domestically. It's definately not going to beat Potter in openings around the world, will need to rely on those holiday boosted days and hopefully better legs.
