Hmm, I think Inception needs to make $16-17 million in Italy in order to pass $500 million overseas. Seems doable.

Weekdays have their largest drop to date. Not really surprising. The previous weekdays were inflated due to a public holiday and the schools, colleges and unis are open again.

The performance in the UK has been great. It has most probably beat Alice in Wonderland when it comes to admissions.

Second on the weekend was Warner Bros.' "Inception," which had secured the top spot in the prior round as well as in last month's opening three stanzas. China continues to throw off big opening numbers for Hollywood titles with “Inception” maintaining its No. 1 market spot, as per Warners, with $8.55 million generated from 3,392 sites for a territory cume of $30.4 million over 12 days.

It only needs $12m to surpass Reloaded's overseas take, WOW, quite an achievement. Too bad it's domestic gross fell well below $300m,

It's going to end up 3% shy of $300m domestic. Please tell me how that's "well below $300m."

Well we all know it's probably going to hit $290m, many was expecting $300m, so to come about at least $5m short i think is "well below"

How many were expecting $300m when MTC said it was tracking at $48m for opening weekend? And how many expected $300m after a $63m opening? The movie is a big success in both the domestic and foreign markets despite being a difficult film for the studio's marketing department.

Actually KJ had inflated expectations for inception. Just check Magnus thread on how many folks believed in inception breaking out big time. So it making 290M is not a shocker.

But its OS performance has surprassed all expectations. I was expecting around 350M.

Week of release people were jumping off that bandwagon like rats from a sinking ship. RS tracking kept going down each week from $95m down to $60m and MTC was at $48m.

Terrific performance in China. $50+ million looks achievable.

I think at this point not only $500+ million overseas is happening, but we might also still see $800+ million worldwide.

Had anopther mediocre hold in UK, making £271,033 over the weekend.

Total UK gross: £34,609,887 (after nine weeks). It'll soon enter the all-time Top 40.

If this can make $500m then it'll definaetly be a great achievement, we'll then have 2 $600m so far this year with a $500m, a $400m. HP7-I will capp it off with a $700m overseas gross. awesome year for international BO

Shrek Forever After will get awfully close to $500 million. If it can make $5 million in Japan, maybe it can make it there.

3,154,189 admissions in Germany after seven weeks. It had quite a strong hold this weekend. A 3,350,000 admissions finish is the minimum at this point.

Inception´s performance OS is more than amazing, it will surpass TDK 468m soon, this is a formidable fate to the next Batman

I thought this over. I think $500+ million overseas is pretty much a lock at this point.

Considering how far International BO has risen, $500m is pretty much a high possibility for Batman 3. If its anywhere near as good as TDK then $600m is also a possibility...though will need very impressive takings in Europe.

TDK wasn't released in China but was very popular with bootleggers. It will be interesting to see how successful Batman 3 might be in that country. It's an expanding market and will be an even bigger player by 2012.

Inception has an incredible run. I was thinking 500 million worldwide would be excellent, but it will do that overseas alone.

Next Batman to make $100m in China.

Getting $100m in China for a foreign release will most certainly gaurantee $600m overseas.
