[quote"Eventine"]I haven't heard anyone talk about it yet so what do you all think its drop will be on its 2nd weekend?[/quote]
Over here on my end people have been looking forward to it like no other, even my damn teachers who are in their 40's and 50's enjoy it and say they want too see it. I don't know anyone who has not seen the original...Im being honest...I think people will flock to the theatres. Now I think the 2nd weekend won't be HUGE, but I think Potc 2 will have legs...
Why cant i quote anyone properly!!

I can't remember if I've posted a predict before...
Opening- $152.6 mil
Total- $579.8 mil
Yeah! I edited it!!!
It MIGHT challenge Titanic... it'll be DAMN close.
Titanic was a phenomenon... PotC was a phenomenon, to a lesser extent... Now it's sequel will be amazing

Everyone who saw the original will see this opening weekend. Unless it's sold out.
Then every teenage girl who saw it... will see it at least twice more.

And people who became a fan via the DVD will actually be in theaters this time around.
And those who fueled the first movie's b-o via multiple viewings will be back and many (including myself) are vowing to beat our records.
And then are the totally new fans. My aunt has not seen the first film, but when we saw the teaser at Narnia, she leaned over to me and told me she wants to see the first movie to catch up so she can watch the new movie... She was *that* impressed by the teaser.
I've so far not heard a single person talk about SR.
PotC:DMC is gonna be HUUUUUGE!

I'm thinking of increasing my opening weekend prediction, but keeping the same total, with the frontloading this summer.

I think it's pretty clear that this film has the Sunday gross record in the bag.

I doubt it'll have the Friday record (which now stands at $45.1M). And I think it will increase on Saturday.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory dropped because of the new Harry Potter book, pretty much. I'm sure it would have increased otherwise. It obviously wasn't frontloaded if it achieved $200+ million total.

i am not seeing a massive opening (100 million plus)
however an opening of 90 million to 320 million.
A good, solid ,healthy, leggy, fun, old, great, summer blockbuster

How would that be a disappointment? Anything above $300 million would be a huge hit.
