You could predict grosses to the penny of many $100 million films, but that simply pales in comparison. Hm... That's what I worry about with this movie. That's why you should join the club.

While I don't thikn there is a slight chance in hell that it does 500 mill or even 400, all signs should point to one film this summer making a shit load of money seeing that nothing has so far, and won't. So maybe I should up my prediction as well...but maybe i won't. Maybe this is just the year that nothing really makes a pile.

Even your average nerd isn't going to see a film that many times in theaters. I saw Star Wars: Episode III 29 times. It still topped out under $400 million.

Now this is interesting. Tuesday June 27th 2006. A fanboy blockbuster is about to open at 10 PM. Is it #1 at yahoo in terms of page views? Nope. A movie without a hardcore fanbase has it:
http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/boxoffice/
That's more incredible then Matrix Reloaded beating X2 during it's second weekend (when it earned 40m). I think this might have the highest number of clicks ever at yahoo and it's not even peaking yet. This isn't a long term buzz movie like Reloaded. It just entered the charts recently and is increasing at a rapid pace.

this film doenst need repeat viewings though, all it needs it the people to come in the masses, more than any of the star wars prequels

18. Sigh. It was only open for 49 days.
BJ, are you going to be thunderstruck if Pirates doesn't make $150m? Do you think it's pretty much a guarantee?

This is good. My goal with a new avatar should be to make you want to buy Serenity everytime you see it.

Saw the fellowship 3 times, and TTT 2 times but couldnt go back to ROTK more than once, thought it was the worse of them all, gave it an A- that grade stands to this day.
