And the director of Episode 9 is none other then Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow.

Am I the only one being disappointed by the first artwork?

Nothing exciting released to the public from D23. Hopefully we will get something September 4th.

Today seems like it was all about the theme park announcement, which is very much blowing up my Facebook feed, and then the Rogue One details. Makes sense that they would go light on the Episode VII stuff, I guess.

"MUST FORCE HAN SOLO INTO POSTER." said Drew as he was making this poster.

"I don't have a clue what I'm commenting about," thinks Algren every time he clicks the submit button.
Posters like that have approval stages, Algren. Artists don't simply draw what they want.

Re: Star Wars Breaks All The Records Club
I personally think this movie looks awesome unlike the cgi cartoons the prequels were, plus I have a tremendous amount of faith in JJ. I am just skeptical the brand is still in the top 3 or 5 brands among the 18-30 crowd which dominates megaplexes every weekend.
I frankly doubt this opinion will change. I expect and factor tremendous marketing into my predictions; I just don't think the brand is powerful enough with the 18-30 crowd to top 150m in mid December when both free time and discretionary income are quite low. That is 200m+ in summer.
I see zero reason to think SW would out open AOU at this point. Maybe the next one, if this coming one is awesome.

Re: Star Wars Breaks All The Records Club
I definitely think the Star Wars brand is certainly up there, but you hardly ever get even the biggest films past 450 million. I think this can do it, but anything 550 plus is just pushing it after Jurassic World already broke out to 640m+.

Re: Star Wars Breaks All The Records Club
Rumor is this is the opening crawl of TFA. They found it on some game being released in 2 weeks... http://www.starwars7news.com/2015/08/po ... -game.html"It is a time of uncertainty.... Unrest grips the galaxy as the influence of the First Order spreads, but a glimmer of hope remains in the heroic forces of the Resistance. As they struggle against the dark might of the enemy, these brave heroes may yet awaken the skill and strength needed to forge a new future…"

Welcome brother.
I do wish they would open at midnight so it can beat the previews number without an asterisk.
