Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
^^^ Yes. Tough times. Already we have 4th sellout at Regal Union Square. Yesterday all shows after 530PM sold out and I see it happening today as well. http://www.fandango.com/thedarkknight_110469/movietimes

6 sellouts at Regal NY now including 3PM show(link in previous post). It is doing better than yesterday at that theater.

It's raining hardcore here in Philadelphia, so I assume it's also raining in NY. That could be the reason why it's selling out faster than yesterday.

I don't know how it's selling over here in Philly; I doubt it's selling out in advance, though. Philadelphia is like 19124 if you're interested.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
it is middle of the week. it does not need sellouts. Decent crowds will give a great number. I can see a number close to 19M.

That would be a 9%...which would be fucking fantastic. I'm thinking more like around 18m and closer to a 13%-14% drop. I doubt it falls harder than DMC two days in a row.

In NY TDK is doing really well. AMC Lincoln square has 4 sellouts. AMC Lowes 34th street has 2, Regal Battery Park has one and Regal Union Square has 9.

AMC River East Chicago has 4 sellouts including 530. Hopefully it will sellout most of the evening shows.

*queue excel's "Mother of God" post*
The fact that we can track sell-outs on its sixth day (just a regular weekday) is mind-blowing.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
At least in NY most major theaters I have mentioned are selling every show. Even Portsmouth NH has a sellout though it had none yesterday(it had 5 on monday). I am willing to bet it will drop very less today(definitely less than 10%).

Washington DC Update - Another sellout at Regal Gallery Place at 820PM. I will say this one will sellout all shows at that theater.

I am willing to bet > 20M today. We will get a better picture by end of day(its just 430 here at west coast).

A drop under 10% will guarantee an $80 million+ weekend. That's nuts.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
We have 2nd sellout in Portsmouth, NH. We had zero yesterday and 5 on monday. http://www.fandango.com/regalfoxrunstad ... heaterpageAt this point I am feeling good about single digit drop.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
^^
80M is highly probable at this point. I would say 75M is a lock.
Another sellout at Regal Union Square NY(1020PM show). To be fair it was doing great there even yesterday. But almost every major NY venue is selling out at this point which is really impressive.

It's second weekend is looking to be bigger than AOTC OW, which would put it in the top 20 OW of all time. Fucking insane. It honestly has an shot at topping X2 OW...on its 2nd weekend. Didnt that do 86?

TDK Ran Shit wrote: Possibly. Best case scneario is Thurs: 18 Fri: 27 +50% Sat: 39 + 45% Sun: 28 -24% Thats 94 I doubt it will increase that much after awesome week days. I think increases will be less (around 30-35%). But I will not surprised if it went up a bit tomorrow(after staying flat or dropping less than 5% today). Most theaters are running more shows tomorrow evening than today.
