Re: Captain America: Civil War > Avengers 2 Club
1/1 on RT. So far it's exponentially better than BvS.

This is getting TWS/TA type of reception which only means it's going to be HUMONGOUS. I have no more doubts that this will crush AOU both domestically and WW.

Oh my God, DC must be so sad right now. Probably curled up on their bed, crying, trying to understand the world.

I mean it's sad because I was one of those guys who was really looking forward to it, but it was a mess plain and simple. It's all Warner Bros fault for rushing it though and not building it up properly like what Marvel has been doing. Also, keeping Snyder after all the mixed reactions MOS was getting was always a HUGE mistake and they paid for it dearly with BvS.

Re: Captain America: Civil War > Avengers 2 Club
I think it certainly helps that Marvel's big stars are all characters with very limited "powers". Lesser powers tend to have better reception among common folk. And they're much easier to write for.

Also, keeping Snyder after all the mixed reactions MOS was getting was always a HUGE mistake and they paid for it dearly with BvS. Marvel has been overshadowing them since the first Avengers. Nothing has changed outside of two DC movies. Both tepidly received, both by Zack Snyder. Marvel has released 6 films since the Nolan Batman series, which all followed a build up of 5 additional films prior. I don't think DC was worried during the Nolan days, as I'd probably pick almost all 3 of those films over ANY Marvel film. So really, you're saying DC is worried after 2 films compared to Marvel's 6 going on 7 films. I think they're nervous, but they still have their trump card in their villains

This film will give Rogue One a run for its money, domestically and worldwide.

Magnus wrote: Raising my prediction to 195m/500m Same, but I could see it actually challenging $200M+ now. Everybody's pretty much calling it the real Avenger's 2 and that's going to attract ALOT of attention. Also, if they show more Spider-Man in the tv spots than the hype levels are likely to go off the charts.

Re: Captain America: Civil War > Avengers 2 Club
This club is surely happening. I am wondering it Civil War can challenge Avengers domestically. It has 4 years of inflation with it and more IMAX/PLF screens.
