Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince stands at $624 million overseas and $922.6 million worldwide. That amkes it the #10 movie of all-time worldwide and #8 overseas. All in all, a terrific performance. Worldwide it should pass The Phantom Menace and The Two Towers soon and finish with around $928-930 million WW, at #8. That means that the all-time Top 10 worldwide consists of:

3 Harry Potter films
2 LOTR films
2 Pirates films
Titanic
Shrek 2
The Phantom Menace

Heh

In Germany, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has passed 6 million admissions last weekend, being the slowest of the series to do so. Should end up as the smallest of the franchise here.

In UK it finally passed £50 million and it's the biggest Harry Potter flick in the UK since Chamber of Secrets.

In Japan it is the first Harry Potter film to interrupt the downward trend as it has already passed Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix' gross.

disappointing int. I was hopping ROTK had met its match, not to mention out performed by an ice age film.

It fizzled a bit too fast both domestically and overseas. HP6 will end up being #3 Domestically, #3 Overseas and #2 Worldwide this year.

The next two Harry Potter flicks have a greater chance at hitting $1billion.

Hmm, I am honestly very surprised it didn't hit $650 million OS.

I think it underperformed in Germany...quite a bit. In admissions the worst Harry Potter performer so far.

I think summer hurt it OS. I think the next one will do 650-700 OS. The move to the winter will help it OS more than domestic.

I dunno, I think Ice Age 3 might have hurt it even more.

Yeah, it also performed quite badly in Asia, big openings but dropped massively. Ice Age 3 was also quite big when HP6 opened and that movie held much better.

HP definately performs better overseas around the Nov slot. Now that Twilight has moved June, HP should have no competition next year. Should be good for at least $650m....though it has Narnia and a host of other kiddie focused movies in December.

Though if HP4 can gross $600m with both Narnia and King Kong, this one should be fine.
