Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
Sold out all 8 showings thus topping sith in Anchorage, however ROTK still remains supreme because it sold out its entire first wk (every single showing) of release here.

Batman really is an insanely popular character. It's so good to see him back breaking records.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
crap. I wanted to see TDK tonight again with some friends. AMC River East is sold out from 1:00 pm on. Of the 21 shows available for the rest of the day, only three are not sold out.
kinda sucks but I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow or see Mamma Mia!

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
So out of the 21 shows at River East from 1 PM on, only 6 have not sold out yet but fully expect them to.
Saturday should be flat with Friday, if not perhaps a slight increase (excluding midnights) because the morning shows were also mostly sold out.

All talk of a 30-40% dive on Saturday is stupid.
It should get around 50 million dollars today.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
it's Monday night. Why am I having to report that night shows are selling out in my area (chicago downtown and north side)
Kerasotes Webster Place 2/3 sold out Kerasotes City North 2/6 sold out but they rarely sellout movies at this theater yet alone Monday night AMC River East 3/5 sold out
Navy Pier IMAX is sold out until next Monday. This is what sucks most!!

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
Even at Regal Hoyts at portsmouth NH there were 5 sellouts today.
At Regal Hacienda Dublin CA - I see 2 sellouts (830PM and 9PM show today checked at 845PM).
Regal Union Square was most impressive. Sold out all shows from 530PM( 13 in all).
Arclight hollywood was also selling most of evening shows. Currently it has sold out next 2 shows.
AMC river east has sold out last show at 1045PM.

Re: The Dark Knight pre-sales and sellout watch
AMC River east has 145PM show sold out. !!!! it has 2 evening shows sold out as well http://www.movietickets.com/house_detai ... se_id=8267Regal union square has 3 evening shows sold out already. I think this one will hold very well today. I am expecting less than 10% drop. Yesterday's drop was that much bcos there were no spillovers unlike monday.

It's amazing so many shows are selling out during the work week. There must be a lot of unhappy bosses out there!
