It's a biased prediction, mine isn't. If I were making a biased prediction, Fantastic Four would be grossing 120 million this weekend.
For anybody else on the fence about this, I have done my homework, and I'd like to invite you to check out these following threads, and after reading them, as well as this one, you can decide if you think I'm worth listening to.

It's ironic that this is my 4th such prediction thread, and I promise you, I won't be wrong on this 60 million prediction. I'm as sure about it as I was about Sith making 150 million.

It's ok, theres plenty of nice crazies just like you in there, they all think AVP will beat out Spider-Man 2 at the BO and that Hulk will make 500m.

In what way? 20m is biased, 45m is probably the most reasonable amount for the movie, while 60m-70m being the high end of what it can do.

But considering FF4 is just as popular as SPIDERMAN, there is no reason why this movie couldn't open to 60 Million plus.. As a matter of fact, I'm feeling deep down that it could open closer to 70 Million.. What do you think about that?? Hell, I'm almost ready to create a thread about it just for sh*ts and grins..

Okay BKB, F4 is not nearly as popular as Spidey. It does have a chance to open to 60 mill, I'll give you that. But it also has a chance to open with 40-50.
If the weekend looked like this:
Friday: 17
Saturday:20
Sunday 18
That is 55 mill. That is a dman fine gross.
But then again, it could look like this:
Friday: 13
Saturday:17
Sunday: 15
That would be 45 mill and that is what I am banking on.
To do 60, it would have to look like this:
Friday: 18
Sat: 24
Sunday: 21
That would be 63....good luck.

bkb. batman is bigger than ff4. theres no reason for it not to have opened to over 100 million by that argument. but we all knew (well most of you did) that it wouldn't.

Damn yeah, you were magnificent with both SWIII and MIL.
However, I don't think it will do 60. For the fun, I'll join.
But I don't change my own prediction.

That's not predicting. Anyway, I wanted to post one more bit of info that may convince you, and I hope you seriously take a look at this, especially all of you that are projecting your own bias on the masses, and coming up with ridiculously low numbers. The masses don't care if you think it looks good. It amazes me how so many of you only look through your own eyes, and continously underestimate women and children. The big companies that have gotten involved with this movie obviously aren't making that mistake, as I have NEVER seen this level of product placement in a movie. They have got promotional partners like I've never seen, and these huge successful companies like Wal-Mart, Pepsi, Burger King, Oscar Meyer, Activision, and Mountain Dew aren't paying millions of dollars for their product placement because this is only going to be a medium sized opening and hit. Big things are expected, which is why and how Fox was able to promote and market this film so much. If you don't believe me about the product placement, just take a look. Now, I'm betting there will even be more than that elsewhere in the film. Do you really believe that all of these very successful companies are wrong, and your bias is right?
I'll quote the above post, just incase anybody missed it and wants to see a bit of logic. :numch:

BOP said theres a possibility that FANTASTIC FOUR could open to $60,000,000.
I still predict about $40M-$50M.
Although i hope the best for the film, because A. i love campy superhero movies, and B. i love Chris Evans and Jessica Alba.
So all the best this weekend....

Is Jessica Alba really taller than the Thing? I've never read the comics so I wouldn't know if that's right or not...

I think they are obviously on a slant, as all the other pictures don't show Evans towering over Chiklis.

You see how much the Thing towers over the rest of the members and look at his size compared to the Hulk which isnt too far off. The one they used on the movie is a minime

Dude, seriously, I've already shown creator Jack Kirby's Thing, and that's exactly what they followed, so save your feable attempts by showing Mike Wieringo art, as if that means anything. The bottom one is Kirby, and the Hulk is 7 feet, the Thing is 6 feet. You're reaching because you realize how big of an ass you're about to look like for all of your bashing and cries of how this will bomb. Be a man like BKB and admit you were wrong.

Remember those marvel universe comic books that list the stats of the characters. The Thing was over 7' tall and when he used to be Ben Grimm it list him as 6'3 and 6'4 and he was a body builder
The pictures on top dont lie.

I'm a long time Narnia fan. And yes, I read the books as a kid.
But the trailer left me thinking it was a little too LOTRish. Didn't Kingdom of Heaven go to show that the movie going public is Epic-ed out?
My take right now is that Narnia will do in the high hundreds, HP in the low 200's, and KK in the middle to high 200's.

Yep, would you like me to pull it out of my closet and prove you wrong? If you want to go one on one with me on Marvel knowledge, bring it on.
The picture on top was drawn by Mike Wieringo, who was promptly moved off the book recently, because sales were slipping and they wanted to get a boost to go along with the movie's release. His version of the Thing means absolutely nothing, but if you want to discredit yourself further, you can try to argue that it does.
