The same day as Rocky 6? Obviously one of them is going to move.

Thanks, Libs.

I don't know about that move for All the King's Men. It would do much better in December.

Looking at the schedule, it appears as though the later half of the year is unspeakably better than the first half and the summer. I guess that's not really a surprise.

December looks especially strong. There are some obvious winners there (Night at the Museum, Charlotte's Web, Eragon), likely successful Oscar bait (Dreamgirls, The Good Shepherd) and potential star-driven blockbusters (The Pursuit of Happyness w/ Will Smith, Music & Lyrics by w/ Drew Barrymore & Hugh Grant, Holiday w/ Cameron Diaz & Kate Winslet, We Are Marshall w/ Matthew McConaughey & Matthew Fox), etc.

Apocalypto is going up against Nativity. What a bizarre faceoff.

Edit: My bad, Nativity actually opens a week earlier.

Well, the first weekend of December is a dead weekend anyways, and I expect Apocalypto to keep the tradition going.

Narnia did pretty good when it opened in the first weekend of december.

Apocalypto isn't opening in the first weekend of December. It's the second weekend, similar to where Narnia was released last year.

I still don't see it doing well, but better than it will in the summer.

Apocalypto wont do more than $50-$60m. It has nothing in common with TPOTC and its success other than having the same director and subtitles.

Prestige in October. Good slot. The second half of the year is taking shape!!

Can we just skip get through May and skip the rest of this year? I'm too excited for 2007.

Woody Allen's next film Scoop (again starring Scarlett Johansson, along with Hugh Jackman) will open July 28.

Interestingly, The Lake House got a PG rating from the MPAA.

Well, I can't remember the last time an adult romance was given a PG rating.

I mean, The Notebook and others got PG-13.

Well, it's kinda hard to have sex when you're separated by two years...

Pathfinder - September 8
The U.S. Vs. John Lennon - October 6
The Marine (WWE film w/ John Cena and Kelly Clarkson) - October 13
For Your Consideration - November 17

I'm surprised with Pathfinder's move. I just started seeing marketing (including the pre-show making-of-special thingy at AMC), and now, it's in September. Looks like a bomb.

Hahahaha.

I'm pretty sure that's Kelly Carlson of Nip/Tuck fame, not Kelly Clarkson.

Boo at For Your Consideration getting delayed.
