There's absolutely no way this movie will fall under $200 million.

As much as I think this will not fall below $200 million. It's NOT a LOCK to cross $200 million.

I'm basing my opinion completely on what people have said about the movie in conversation. Over and over again (from a wide range of people) I hear the same exact things about Superman:
1) "Superman? F** no".
2) "ehh, I'll wait for DVD"
3) "No way. Did you know he's gay in it?" (and no, they're not joking. People are retarded)
4) "I don't like Superman" usually followed by explaination that the character is lame, old or uninteresting to them.
5) "I liked Christopher Reeve. No interest in this unless the guy falls off a horse" (ok, I made that last part up)
Granted, this is completely non-scientific and potentially meaningless gauge - but it's been a good indicator for me in the past.
That being said - 'm not going to be shocked if I end up eating crow.

My friend watches Smallville, and even he's not interested in the movie. He said that the suit looks like crap, and that the guy they chose to play him was no good. He suggested that Tom Welling would've been a better choice, heh.
*not to sound negative*

50 million over the 5 day?
im going to say though, big or small, tracking rarely right with big blockbusters like this. i dont think its been acurate on any film this summer besides cars. it had mi3 at 70, poseidon at 40, da vinci at 80-close-xmen at 87.

I think tracking will probably have it at $65 million for three days. (How does it usually work with mid-week openers?)
When can we expect to see tracking on Pirates as well?

possibly tomorrow.
tracking this early will be based on a lot of small stuff. i.e. how much exposure trailers have gotten, character popularity, stars, ect.
im hoping 60 3 day-100 5 day right now.

Is this club "SR won't make $200m by the 2nd weekend" or for the whole run? I think it has a really good shot at being over $200m by the second weekend from the indications, I am getting.

You know?? You all laugh at the prospects of this movie even making 200 Million or less as tho0ugh that could never happen and you know something?? This movie isn't out yet and none of us REALLY know how it's going to perform with the general audience weened on Reeve's and the original movie's.. We really don't and with Bryan Singer making absolute certain to let folks know about how he made SUPERMAN more sensitive to idolize the Gay Groups out there since he's Gay, this may end up backfiring horribly because of that.. Think about it but don't laugh cause that very well could happen..

I predict this movie to make 201 Million DOMESTICALLY so it's sort of hard to actually pinpoint which Club to join.. This Club is under 200 Million which very well could happen with Singer making certain everyone knows HIS SUPERMAN is an Emotional character to coincide with the Gay Groups out there and it could hurt the movie as a result.. Christ, you'll walk in sporting a sports coat and walk out wearing a damn dress since Singer has made this a "Chick Flick"..

That's because the audience identified with the WOLVERINE character in these movie's and weren't considered "Chick Flicks".. No way..

Didn't the Spider-Mans eries delve pretty heavily into chick flicdom? As I recall, the first movie was split evenly between genders.
