What if WB released the extended cut in theaters in a couple of months? It'd be a great idea if the legs are shit but it'll be summer.

I'd rather see it making its original release date in May. :)

Looks like overall Sunday was weaker than studio projections. DP down about $100K still a GREAT hold over the weekend. I wonder what WB is waiting for not giving official BvS numbers till now.

Not every movie was overestimated:

$24,022,288 ZOOTOPIA

Zootopia's Sundays, with the exception of last weekend, have been crazy good. Only a 30% drop on Easter, while last year Home dropped 38%.

Edit: Though I suppose last Sunday was rather good, anyway. It was just not quite as excellent as was projected.

For a Superhero film, yes. Overall it's not even close: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/da ... Fri&p=.htm That's not strictly speaking what you're asking for, but there's obviously gonna be a correlation.

Its so hilarious that this list contains mostly all female targeting movies. Maybe that's the reason its frontloaded this weekend

And its barely even over $166m. Damn!! I just don't see it doing $350m with all the factors.

Though some of those really need a *. It's getting crazy considering there are now additional 6 or more hours in Friday. That obviously inflates the share A LOT.

That's a good point _axiom. I just realized even SW7 is #30 and that massive $57m is to blame for that.
