In admissions it is very, very likely that BvS will open below DEADPOOL in Germany.
In b.o. BvS should beat DEADPOOL...

mark is it the ticket price or that 3D is being pushed hard for BvS?

Well, over here people are usually forced into 3D screenings as 2D screenings are much rarer, especially in the evenings...

DEADPOOL's average ticket price opening weekend was €8.72, BvS should be around €11...

So you guys also have higher ticket prices for different movies. Surprising. I haven't seen different ticket price trend for movies here in Singapore or India. The weekend-weekday prices do vary but I think that is kinda default everywhere.

So judging by Thursday sales (including previews) Germany will deliver:

650,000 admissions = €7.3m = $8.1m

compared to Deadpool:

771,641 admissions = €6.7m = $7.1m

compared to Man of Steel:

294,315 admissions = €2.7m = $3.5m

compared to TDKR:

1,051,464 admissions = €7.7m = $11.7m

DP also had previews right? So that's still fine number I suppose but no where close to Nolan's trilogy.

Putting forward the fact that it had the '6th biggest Hollywood opening' in a market growing about 45% every year is borderline idiotic.

At this point if it can break 600m OS I'd consider it a success

$600m OS would give it a small window to get close to $1b WW. If domestically it gets IM3 type of multiplier and about $620m OS.

$44m in 2 days.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice burst into 38 more markets on Thursday, including Brazil, Russia, Korea, Mexico and Germany. The superheroes added $33.1M to take the two-day overseas cume to $44M.

The film was No. 1 in all launch markets led by Mexico and its $5.8M on 3,800 screens. That includes record-breaking midnight shows. Market share was 88% and gave Warner Bros its biggest opening day ever, and the 2nd biggest industry bow of all time.

$65m+ as of now.

http://deadline.com/2016/03/batman-v-su ... 201725677/

Quote:
We just received word that Warner Bros.’ Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is taking off in the Middle Kingdom. Per early flash grosses and a few sneaks, BvS is making $21.22M in China, dominating 75% of the market. The pic burst into 38 more markets on Thursday including Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Korea and Germany, grossing $33.1M and a running cume of $44M. But with China added, overseas is now north of $65M.

The film was No. 1 in all launch markets and showed particular spandex-clad muscle in Latin America. Leading all bows yesterday, Mexico super-powered $5.8M on 3,800 screens. That includes record-breaking midnight shows. Market share was 88% and gave Warner Bros its biggest opening day ever there. BvS also scored the second-biggest industry bow of all time.

Brazil was the next best offshore play with $3.5M on 1,331 screens and including sneaks. Likewise, it’s WB’s best ever start in the market. That’s the case as well in the UAE with $1.1M on 112 screens. The opening there was 93% bigger than Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Germany debuted to $2.8M
on 1,015 screens (with sneaks). That’s the biggest bow of the year and the top ever for a superhero movie. It exceeded the No. 2 film in the market, Zootopia (4th frame), by more than 300%. Australia‘s $2.5M on 594 screens is a good start with 70% share of the Top 5 and Russia was up around 80% with $1.9M on roughly 2,000 screens.

Superman & Friends sucked up 80% of the Top 5 share in Korea with $1.7M on 1,613 screens and far outpacing newcomers and holdovers. Elsewhere in Asia, WB had its best opening of all time in four markets: Hong Kong ($1.1M), Singapore ($855K) Malaysia ($804K) and Thailand ($740K).

In holds, Spain is going strong with a further $1.1M from 702 screens . The two-day total there is $2.9M. Italy brought in another $925K on 769 screens for a slight 16% drop from Thursday. The two-day cume is $2M. France picked up another $953K (-44%) with 110K admissions from 822 screens and good for a cume of $2.7M.

Along with the UK and China, Japan also opens today.

BvS not passing $1 billion worldwide and thus TDK and TDKR worldwide despite inflation, 3D, grosing markets and fucking Superman would be downright embarrassing...

So that's $197.3m and two more days to go. With another $80m from domestic and expected $120m from OS it should clear $400m WW by its states OW.

Tanking in China continues. Projections now below $600M yuan (~$92M). Will likely finish under Ant-Man in the market.
