What are you talking about man? Are you just making things up? Its called Upcoming Release for the sole reason that the candidates can be included and get people excited about an upcoming movie. I did not add the movies from upcoming weekend in that list because I haven't seen in general a single person saying that those will get to $100m.

With sequels disappointing overall I think Turtles might miss the mark as well.

Angry Birds should get in there next unless it needs next weekend. Warcraft and NYSM2 seems to be out based on their OD's. TC2 still has a good chance.

X-Men: Apocalypse fights bad reviews and low opening to get past $100m in 8 days. Its still a big letdown from the last movie and couldn't use the breakout of Deadpool to its advantage.

Central Intelligence and The Conjuring 2 are now locks to get to this list and should most likely get to this list in that order. Independence Day: Resurgence will eventually get to the list even with poor legs, it will most likely get a slight boost from the same studio movie next weekend. The Legend of Tarzan also seems poised to reach this list.

It looks like we are in summer again.

The list will reach to 13 movies from holdovers/openers this weekend and more should come, so expecting this list of go to 20 by Summer.

It seems this could be a close race between The Conjuring 2 and The Secret Life of Pets both looking to cross this mark by Sunday unless the former gets there on Monday or Pets turned out frontloaded over the weekend.

This list is dreadful as of now. In 2015 by June end we had 14 movies past $100m mark. July 12 brought it to 15 movies past that mark. But then again July was a slower month for this list as only 1 more movie was added in 2015 to make it 16. It seems we have a 4 movies ready to cross this mark in 2016 so it should get to 14 movies by July but that still leaves 2016 short by two movies. If Ghostbusters and Star Trek Beyond open big enough then 2016 can match 2015 by July for this list.

Ghostbusters will certainly make it in time. Star Trek will be close but no cigars, I think. But it will get there in early August.

Yes I believe Ghostbusters should get there with summer weekdays helping it.
