Re: Is Good Dino In Trouble Now? This is my least favorite Pixar film since Cars (I didn't see the sequel so not counting that). It's just very forgettable and honestly the main character is really annoying. It will do well with families though.

Re: Is Good Dino In Trouble Now? TGD is between IO and FD which makes me think that Pixar was being strategic about this one. Even if it ends a whimper they would get some good cash out of it because of holidays and it won't impact their brand name heavily.

Pixar were too successful for too long, and they (or at least their fans) are too fucking arrogant. But on the other hand, it is an "original" Pixar movie, which is always sad to see them underperform. It's films like this that will just push them closer to making a Cars cinematic universe and endless sequels. Cars doesn't take itself too seriously, and it has much more memorable characters. It's also never nearly as boring as this is.

How about (and I came up with this in 10 seconds) a Buzz Lightyear prototype in his inventors workshop a few years before the toy hit the shelves. We could see how he became the toy we know him as, and he could have tons of adventures with the other toys his inventor is developing.
