And it has not even opened in China, Japan or Russia yet. I wonder if it has a shot at $700 million overseas.

I don't see why its overseas increase shouldn't match it, and a 30% increase from F&F6's overseas gross puts it at $715 million.

Because of much weaker Euro exchange rates than when F6 was released?

 Re: Furious 7 (INTL)
Just checked, if Fast 7 does $1 billion it will only be the second film to do so and not have opened in the summer or Nov/Dec (Alice being the other).
It will also be only the second non-summer and holiday film to do $900 m +. The closest is the Ice Age Franchise. Just for context, out of the top 30 films ever worldwide, only Alice opened at another time of the year.
Just insane that an APRIL film is going to do $1 billion potentially. The potential was there though, Iron Man/Avengers have benefited quite a bit opening overseas first in many markets to build up buzz.

And that's all without Russia, Japan, or China, where F&F6 made a combined $120 million. $700+ million overseas is almost certainly happening, right?

Re: Furious 7 (INTL) $384m WW bow
Third highest overseas opening without those major markets. Just astonishing.
I really don't know what the ceiling is on this one worldwide. It has a wide open market for a month. It also plays so well internationally. $300-350 m domestic, $650-850 overseas? Not sure if $1.1 or even $1.2 billion is the ceiling or not to be honest.

Re: Furious 7 (INTL) $384m WW bow
It could get $100+ million from China alone, right?
I'm thinking $780 million OS, $330 million domestic. $1.11 billion worldwide.
