 Re: The Expendables 3 over The Expendables 2 Club! Stallone is the one in control on set. He has a long history of using directors that are more ore less just cinematographers. He also does it as a way to give more exposure to a new talent (EX3) or bringing some caliber back (Simon West with EX2)

The Expendables was LGF biggest film of all time by quite a margin until TW, HG, and Divergent came about. Despite having a 30% increase almost everywhere else, it decreased here. Once the film's initial novelty factor wasn't enough, they're trying a new technique. After all Expendables 2 actually managed better legs and reviews over the first film. When it comes down to it, even if they lose another 10%, they have the opportunity to stay even or fall flat now that these 35+ can now bring there 10 year old kids, and they wont get a beating from their wife.

And it looks again as if the Expendables team doesn't have worthy opposition. Gibson seems to be the only bad guy. With all of these action stars, they couldn't have made some of them bad??? It's such a waste.

There just needs to be some importance put on the villain this time, and that the Expendables are not in for an easy win like the two other outings.

But every download is likely to be watched by more than one person. Initially with friends. Then passed around. These are all possibilities to mean that it will lose a lot more than your straight line approach of calculation. Not to mention that the 30k downloads is only from one site. And now it's up over 70k downloads from that one site. And how about if the film is badly received? WOM being bad will perhaps stop others from attending the cinema to see it too. So yeah.
