 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
LOL this could easily open to 100 million. In this year? QOS inflates to like 80 million. That was coming off the more liked Casino Royale, but it didnt have the reviews, buzz, or balls to wall marketing this one if having. Films have been opening huge in 2012, it is going to stay that way.
This movie should do right around 40 million in business friday, which should assure 100 million opening weekend.
It is happening.

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
There is no way this is making $100 million opening weekend.

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
Quantum's opening adjusts to $75.4m, btw. I'm a believer that its word-of-mouth wasn't that bad, but it definitely wasn't good - especially to the point where this will jump $25m in its opening.
The reviews are much stronger, yes, but the hype and marketing are probably on-par with that film. You just don't remember because you thought Australia was going to gross $600m that month.

It's going to increase 22% on Saturday, w/o midnights? What world do you live in?

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
It will open in the low 60s but I believe it can finish with over $200M if audiences love it as much as critics.

This is already at 8.6 on IMDb with 6,460 votes. That'll probably level off eventually, but still a damn good start.

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
word of the awesomeness is spreading. Being Bond would have gotten it 65-70m range, combine awesomeness = 100m +

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
Well it did defy expectations (higher or lesser).
Mark's OW prediction was the closest with $85m. It might get to $300m total as well though not sure yet.

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
Skyfall is already in the Top 100 of All Time World Wide. The way it's blowing up overseas does anyone else think this movie has chance of nearing 1B? That might be a bit high but I think 900 is very attainable.

 Re: Skyfall Predictions Thread
900m WW is highly likely IMO. Anything above that will depend on how big is its domestic takings. I think it has a decent shot at $1b total but somehow I feel it will miss that mark.
