Lately when recent R-rated star-powered comedies fail, they fail hard.

I wonder have NEVER thought this was possible, but comedies that opened higher than The Watch and That's My Boy:

Hall Pass
The Heartbreak Kid
Good Luck Chuck
The Change-Up (like Libs mentioned)

I'd call Hall Pass and Good Luck Chuck mild hits. The Watch and That's My Boy are pretty disastrous!

ERC says this is a "Revised estimate", but:

Quote:
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will fly in lower than estimated this weekend: $62.8M.

The 15% drop seemed optimistic, so I think it's still a strong weekend number after a weak Friday.

Wow that is a big drop only if you compare this number to Friday it looks good but the overall weekend is no longer good. It is actually on the poor side IMO.

This weekend has been a roller coaster ride for me for TDKR predictions. I went from $450m to $400m to $475m and now I am back to $450m :P

The numbers have been all over the place.
