Looking at the Tuesday numbers, perhaps theaters and studios should just lower the prices for a month or so to get people back in the theaters. It would mean more to people outside of Colorado than not reporting (which IMO was fine) the weekend numbers.

Tuesday was about what I expected, maybe a bit better. Whatever it falls Wed and Thu, I expect it's Thur # to be around 13.5M. I don't think a 60M weekend is guaranteed.

I take that back. Business was surprisingly strong this Tuesday, which explains the good drop for TDKR. But it will probably drop 25% today.

TDK's first Tuesday had a bigger drop, but other movies' increases were much smaller than what we've had yesterday.

As I said before catching up to TDK or TA is impossible.

Any gain it makes on TA over the weekdays it gets beaten handily on the weekend.

Against TDK it has nowhere to make a gain unless it surprises on the weekend and I doubt it will go past TDK 2nd weekend.

Atleast TDKR was 200K ahead of TA on Tuesday and about 500K ahead of its Monday. Now its "just" $45m+ behind TA's 5-day total

I think TDKR Wed will be around 14 million

Wonder what film will pull a 100 million 2nd weekend again.. That was something we thought was impossible.

That was the point regardless of being released in July TDKR is not generating enough over weekdays as of now to come close to TDK or TA. May is more weekend friendly whereas the strength of July movies lie in big weekdays. Currently TDKR is "only" matching TA over weekdays it is not going to see a big 135% second Friday hike that TA got even if the shooting effects are over by this weekend.

I agree TA weekend grosses from opening to Memorial day were very impressive.
