By the way, nice poll results.. Very interesting that I could have such a major affect on some people around here and I love it.. HULK gets **** out of 4.. http://boxofficemojo.com/forums/viewtopic.htm?t=16867&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=hulk&start=0 And you know what happened ass wipe?? Someone else made a better more realistic version of the HULK and not some cartoonish piece of shit like Ang Lee made.. I've stated my point several times: I wanted a HULK movie when SPIDERMAN was riding high and I got it, just not the one we should've got in 2003 like we did in 2008.. I can't believe so much is made out of this as though none of you EVER change your mind of a movie once fanaticism has settled and you look at the movie more objectively.. You can READ the above part can't you?? Apparently not cause no pone ever goes back on a movie they've reviewed which really is very unrealistic..

Did you just call The Incredible Hulk the more 'realistic' movie, whereas Ang Lee's is cartoony? Wha?

People wanted a more fierce, more realistic ripped HULK, not the doughy, bouncing off the sandune scene we saw and concensus pretty much has it that the HULK 2003 was in fact, too cartoonish and the FX just weren't there yet.. The SUPER BOWL TV Spot pretty much proved that and afterward, the FX were ridiculed worldwide and all over the net..http://www.razzies.com/asp/content/XcNe ... icleid=127Quote: A Green Giant and a Beach Blanket Bummer
By Howard Rosenberg
American Idiots
It's inspiring to see the big screen embrace those who achieved their biggest fame on little old television. Ang Lee's "Hulk" and "From Justin to Kelly" both arrived in theaters Friday.
According to most accounts, the latter is scarier than the former.
"Hulk" is moviedom's version of a comic-book green giant who became "The Incredible Hulk" on CBS from 1979 to 1982, with average-sized Bill Bixby ballooning into panoramic Lou Ferrigno whenever he got teed off.
Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini are those singing "American Idol" kids, a pair of new-millennium icons whose quickie stardom on Fox gave "clean cut" a questionable name and led to this instant movie meant to capitalize on their popularity with the young crowd, before they flame out. It's being sold in ads promising "the musical event of the summer!"
Which tells you something about this summer.
To say nothing of the dumb-and-dumber descent of the television era that generated these two beach balls who make Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello look like movie-musical Titans.
"Everyone knows we did it in six weeks," Clarkson told Fox News Channel on Friday, sounding almost giddy beside Guarini, whom she edged out in last year's "American Idol" competition. She disagreed that it was a bad omen when the movie was withheld from critics so they couldn't write about it prior to its release.
"We didn't to it for the critics," she said of their movie. "We did it for the fans." If trailers for a beachfront production number are an indication, she means fans of camp.
Of course, it gets only worse. Hoping to expand the audience-friendly creative void of "American Idol" into a whopper franchise pinpointing all younger age groups (Guarini is 23, Clarkson 21), Fox earlier this month spun off "American Juniors," pitting still-younger performers, and their parents, against each other. And, yikes, its ratings were also impressive.
What follows on this assembly line of look-alikes? "American Infant," with participants wowing the judges, viewers and host Ryan Seacrest by dirtying diapers to pop music? Or perhaps "American Fetus," if Fox can work out the ultrasound Ang Lee's HULK is universally razzed.. At least the HULK 2008 with Edward Norton had a little more respect, but a bigger hill to climb thanks to Ang Lee's fuckup..

Quote: Yeah, it was a piece of garbage for those that didn't understand it and too over your head for what your accustomed to in the summer movie going season.. To say the HULK was a piece of garbage is truly inaccurate and if anything, it was an excersise and masterpiece in great filmaking... This movie had great obstacles to overcome from the getgo, especially from the Superbowl Promo that people just couldn't let go of.. If anything, the sequel is going to be much easier to Market and gives ILM more time to tweek the CGI which was 95% spot on with a few tweeks to adjust and the audience has pretty much accepted his look as opposed to Godzilla and how bad he looked... http://boxofficemojo.com/forums/viewtopic.htm?p=406328&highlight=hulk#406328

At least the HULK from the 2008 movie will be used for the AVENGERS over Ang Lee's which is redemption sort of..

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/green_lantern/Currently at a staggering 21% ROTTEN, probably the worst I've ever seen for a tomato grade for a superhero movie..

Still hardly means anything for a Cheesy Popcorn flick It has a Fantastic Four vibe and looking back Fantastic Four had a 27% Rotten Ratting and still made 56 in its 1st weekend.

Fantastic Four was (allegedly) fun. Green Lantern isn't.

Re: I Predict GREEN LANTERN To Be The Loser This Summer
I have heard mixed reviews for this movie. People say its fun but maybe thats because the bad reviews has lowered their expectations. I really don't have somebody judge a movie for me I like to judge it for myself.

The entire middle hour of the movie is Ryan Reynolds sitting around and moping about why he shouldn't be Green Lantern. How is that fun?

Pretty bad. Lots of weird edits (Reynolds shows up to save the day in a secret government lab without either knowing where the lab is, or that something is actually happening there), it's too mopey, and it feels 40 minutes longer than it is.

Re: I Predict GREEN LANTERN To Be The Loser This Summer
It just looks terrible. I'm not planning to see it so I wont know but judging from what ive heard from others (and also Dark Shape here) it is a pile of crap. I know Loyal thinks its possibly the wost comic book film he's seen.

Re: I Predict GREEN LANTERN To Be The Loser This Summer
I will see the movie this weekend probably (mostly to ogle Ryan Reynolds like most of the rest of the female audience), but I can't say my expectations are high.

With the reviews pouring in I am sure this will open good but will fail badly ahead. This club is surprisingly looking to succeed

Well, if you mean in relation to budget, it was always going to be a loser, but it will make 100m thus this club will fail.

I thought this club was for bigger disappointment in terms of budget and superhero movies this summer. I am sure that this will cross $100m mark

It may not be a huge success but with a 50m OW it'll find 120m total which already is not as big of a loser as Priest, and I'm sure there will be other summer movies that disappoint more as we go on.

Ah that's true the bomb of Priest cannot be matched, though I don't think Priest was ever considered superhero. I seriously doubt that BKB had Priest in his mind while making this club or even Cowboy and Aliens for that matter.
