Post Re: Canadian Box Office (HELLBOY No. 1)
It appears Hp will win this year as I don't see TDK going anywhere near 30 million.

Considering the other HP4 and hp5 were number 1 in their respective years, hp6 will be the number 1 film this year.

TDK has already got 1 million in sales from Cineplex and Famous Player theaters alone.

No, I don't know which one is the biggest, but SPIDER-MAN 3 did $12.25m last year...

That is a huge opening for TDK. And it isn't surprising. Every imax in the GTA was sold out till Monday. The lines on Sunday night were massive and afternoon shows sold out. I think this is going to have huge legs as well.

Post Re: Canadian Box Office (DARK KNIGHT No. 1)
TDK falls only 44.5% in its 2nd week and rises to 25.2 million and is only 2 million behind IJ and IM.

Judging from its lower drop here in Canada, I expect a leggy run and with a Holiday weekend next week, the film will likely fall below 40%... I see a 42 million dollar finish which is what DMC and Shrek 2 got.

1 The Dark Knight:5.84M $25.21M -44.5%

From Day 1-3 it got 10.5 million and from day 4-10 it got almost 15 million dollars.

TDK got 8.9 million dollars from the weekdays :noway:

It is still way behind ROTK which got like 29 million by this time but it had 2 extra days.

Films in Canada open lower but have better legs.

Shrek 3 and AWE all had near a 3.0 multiplier but ended below 30 million.
