But Christmas is all about legs, not opening. It could still get to $70M with an $11M opening if it has very good legs.

That sounds about right for Diamond. Perhaps it cam make a little more but it could still aim for a solid gross overall. This looks to be heading into GONY territory.
Eragon looks to be the pick of next weekend.

Very tough weekend, I could see a big range for all the openers, although I will say that I have a feeling The Holiday could be underestimated. Wasn't Failure to Launch tracking similarly?

The top 10 will definitely lose out to 2005 as they wont get close to the $75m+ Narnia/Syriana combo.
The Holiday looks strongest but will have some competition from pre-christmas shopping. Its best days are still ahead of it.

The Holiday $19.6 million (7.5k PTA)
Apocalypto $13.8 million (5.5k PTA)
Blood Diamond $11.4 million (6k PTA)
Unaccompanied Minors $6.9 million (2.5k PTA)
I think they're all going to come about in line with expectations except The Holiday a slight bit higher. Rom-Coms always seem to be under-predicted.

My risky predictions.
Apocalypto - 15.0m
The Holiday - 13.1m
Happy Feet - 11.4m
Casino Royale - 9.5m
Blood Diamond - 7.1m
Deja Vu - 6.7m
Unaccompanied Minors - 6.1m
Nativity Story - 5.5m
Deck the Halls - 4.4m
Santa Clause 3 - 3.5m
Top Ten cume - 82.3m
My analysis.
Apocalypto should get a pta similar to Kingdom of Heaven the way tracking and presales are going. Reviews are pretty good too.
The Holiday will get a pta in the low $5000 range, like Two Weeks Notice and Family Stone. It won't reach SGG levels causes reviews are not good enough, and sneaks were not strong enough either.
Blood Diamond is based on the bad capacity at sneaks last Saturday (65% is not a good capitcity number), therefore leads to a sub $4000 pta.
Unwanted Minors will get a pta in the low $2000 range, like Fried Worms, and other lesser Christmas pics, like Home for the Holidays and I'll be Home for Christmas.
As for holdovers.
Happy Feet should feel no effect from those Minors. Blood won't affect Casino Royale and Deja Vu either. Nativity should hold on cause with it's Christmas theme. Deck the Halls and Santa Clause should follow the Kranks pattern.
What do you guys think.

God, Blood Diamond had better cross 10 million at the very least considering how fantastic it was. If not, it could end up being the first Leonardo DiCaprio film to lose money as even domestic duds like The Beach made over 100 million in foreign markets.
