Pretty good drop for Pirates. It won't break 70 mil now but will still end up with around 64-66 mil for the weekend which is still great.

Well Pirates is heading for a 55% drop at least. Im seeing at 45% increase to about 18 million. Another 20% increase to 22 million, and falling to 19 million Sunday. For a 59 million weekend. 56% drop. It will be at a massive 254 million by Sunday. Insane. 350 million is now a lock.
Superman and Prada, this will be an interesting weekend. I think Prada will be a little near 13 million and Superman at 12.5

I agree with you except for Prada. There is no way it only falls 13-14% from last weekend.
It might do 10-11M though.

I think the weekend predictions so far are all very wrong. This is obviously a weekend movie.
Friday: 49.4 million(+400%)
Saturday: 74.1 million (+50%)
Sunday: 59.3 million (-20%)
Weekend Total: 182.8 million
First movie to ever set the opening weekend record in it's first AND second weekend. I guarantee it.

Cars should be able to overtake Toy Story 2, I think. Definitely on course to $240+ million.

Gee, I believe I posed this question like yesterday saying that WB was fudging the numbers to ensure they stay at #2 and not have another movie beat it out yet again.. Look at these numbers below and tell me for as close as they are that this isn't a little eyebrow raising on the subject?? Plus, it's been like this every day now for like a week straight.. Your kidding me??
2. SUPERMAN RETURNS WARNER BROS. 4,065 2,440,000 600 -54% 152,013,000
3. DEVIL WEARS PRADA, THE 20TH CENTURY FOX 2,882 2,440,000 847 -36% 72,982,000

I just dont get this, Why. Its not like they should be embarassed. Chick flicks always do the best during weekdays, and Prada is a big one, almost Julia Roberts in her prime size. Superman is the type of film that will have good dailies but not as good as a chick flick. And even if they fudged it maybe one day, there not gonna fudge for a 2 weeks. that would all types of scandal. and IRS intervention.

I really doubt that WB cares if Superman is passed by Prada. Outside of us, who do you think cares about the dailies? The only things that are reported in newspapers are the weekend figures, and that's only if something big opens up. No newspaper is going to have breaking news about Prada beating Superman in the weekday dailies. Superman could drop down to number 5 on the weekdays and not many people would know. No one really cares.
