WOW such a fantastic number for Scary Movie 4. i think it'll gross the same as the original around 48 million.

People were certainly not expecting Ice Age to gross only $5m on Friday because that would translate to $11-12m. The actual number is fine, but it's not exactly a great hold when you take bad IM into consideration.

Great for Scary Movie 4 obviously, even if it isn't the 20 mil+ screen counts were saying last night.
The Wild...flop. Ugh. I thought appearing on moviefone would mean it would have some grip, but I guess not.

Ouch, Bettie Page isn't off to a hot start.
Great for Hard Candy, and that Hermano movie made as much yeasterday as I expected for the whole weekend.

Wow, did they even consider why everything fell so lightly?

So that's good for Hard Candy? I hope it gets a wide expansion ala One Hour Photo and Open Water.

Yeah, I'm amazed that they could just write down 31.1 for Ice Age without stepping back and thinking this can't be right.

Obviously they did not pay attention to this Friday's gross being bigger than last Friday in some cases. These BOP people are a disgrace.
Calling BOP analysts idiots would be an insult to idiots.

Bettie Page got 50,000 in 20 theatres? That's not stellar. 2,500 pta. If it holds, than it'll pretty much do no better than 7,000 pta for opening weekend. The theatre I was in wasn't that full. That's too bad. There was alot of buzz around it which I thought would lead to a pretty big opening weekend, before the wom kicked in.
Hard Candy is sitting on, what, a 12,000 pta already? This one is going to be BIG.
Anyone heard how Friends with Money and Brick are holding up under expansion?

Those numbers look discouraging for Kinky Boots.

LOL. $31 m for Ice Age 2 prediction? What are they thinking? Sometimes I think they do it on purpose. There are so many box office predictions each week, that by being the incredibly bad ones they'll always have people visiting them...

Hah. $31 million for Ice Age II, $15 million for The Wild, $6 million for Lucky Number Slevin.

Hard Candy did great. That's awesome. I want to see it desperately, so hopefully it expands like a mofo.
Bettie Page = disappointing. That sucks. I want to see that one, too.
Any numbers on Brick?

lol. I can't believe they ended up changing them so long after posting them, only to have to change them again w/ the weekend estimates. Let's hope they don't add $10 m to each of the studio's weekend estimates...
