I'm in no way signing on to this silly club but at the same time I think a lot of you guys overestimate how much quality matters in a movie of this sort.

It'll be lucky to top $90 million, so no.

Finally saw the new trailer. It looks okay, just like the first movie's trailer did (the movie was bad, though). I see a 5-day opening of around $27-28 million and a atotal of about $90-100 million.

It's tracking at, like, $38 million five day, I think.
If it gets that, it should make around $130-140 million total.

It is tracking ahead of Dick & Jane. I can hardly believe that.

No need to degrade MTF when CBTD2 will only be slightly funny if that.

bump
So, now that the release is coming, any new takers?
With Fun With Dick & Jane looking to be weaker than expected, the door is wide open for Cheaper By the Dozen 2 to grab the majority of the comedic audience. It's now consistantly tracking as the #1 new opener.
Chew on this:
Last year, Fockers, on this same Christmas weekend, opened to a 3-day total of 46 mil. It then had a 6.06 multiplier, on route to a total gross of 279 mil.
Using the same 6.06 multiplier, 180 / 6.06, it mathamatically works out that Cheaper By The Dozen 2 will need approximately 29.7 mil on it's 3-day opening weekend. 29.7 mil, that's it folks. Hmm, that doesn't seem so hard does it?
There are of course other factors. One is the fact that Fockers was actually funny, and it had good WOM. But on the other hand, Cbtd2 is also a kid's film which have better legs in the Christmas season. And for a kid's film, there is a very good chance that this WILL in fact be a big crowd-pleaser like Fockers.
Now I do believe that Fockers has a good chance of having better legs than Cheaper 2, and that's why I do think it will need to pass 30 mil to do this. But really, it isn't that much of a stretch anymore.

Hmmm.. I've changed my view on this one. It looks to be one of the few big movies for children this winter besides Narnia, and I think it's going to do solid business.
Opening: $25 million
Total: $112 million

As of now, I think it will end up just a bit ahead of Yours, Mine and Ours. It seems to be on track towards a $19-20 million 4-day weekend and it will have nice legs into January, at least until Hoodwinked arrives, but I still see it topping out with around $75-80 million now.

Yep. .
Even if it pulls a Shrek 2 IM, it still looks like I would be wrong pretty badly.

If you want to feel better, just go to that thread in which I predicted Stay to be the biggest horror/thriller hit of the fall.
