I would say those are both ominous moves but that seems premature.

What is Fast & Furious trying to get away from? 0.o
It's chances of doing well has fallen greatly. Dump? But that's hard to imagine seeing they've got Diesel and Walker back.

That is the most pathetic move ive seen in a while. June is empty and they move this to April?? April is already over crowded and just doesnt expand enough.

Now $100m is gone for this. It will find it hard to get to $70m now.

Worst June BO in modern history?

June 5
- Land of the Lost

June 12
- The Hangover
- Nowhereland
- The Proposal

June 19
- Year One

Transformers comes out on the 26th - too late to help the month out.

"Inglorious Basterds" should definitely open in June. Maybe "Kick Ass" should too.

Or maybe Inglorious Bastards.

I think Night at the Museum should move to the second week of June, Up's third weekend.
Bastards could go on the first.
One week break before Transformers blows the market.

And sucks to be F&F which has decided to tank in April.

100 dollar bet. Dragonball will beat fast and furious 4. Not by much though.

Might be for the best. Its reviews are good but it won't be an Oscar contender and it would've gotten lost in the shuffle.

Yeah Star Trek should definitely move! 1st week of June would be perfect.

I hope Time Trav gets a theatrical release.

Star Trek, Inglorious Basterds, Time Travellers Wife and Kick Ass would make a good June leadup to Transformers 2.

The whorebag Katzenberg just announced Madagascar 3 for 2012.
Seriously, I hope Shrek 4 bombs. Fucking Dreamworks have no creativity.
What's the storyline? They end up in yet another country.
Katzenberg go suck Eisner's or Lucas' cock. You fit each other well.

Yeah I agree its sickening that we'll get another Madagascar when the 1st was terrible.

Magnus/Exel - we should all write to Paramount for them to change Trek.

Seriously, if Paramount doesn't move Star Trek to June 5th or 12th, I really will think that the studios are run by morons.

The film's BO has potential to do 25m-50m in total more in that spot then in second weekend of May.

I agree with that about how it should move to june

we ought to write paramount; i been saying it a few select kj members should start their own movie release handling business we would make bank

Imagine if we handled some of the recent big underpreformers, say, superman returns :disgust:

June 12th is an excellent date for Trek. With great marketing, it will open in the ballpark of 50. With good wom, 150 would be a virtual lock.

No! Even with such a release date, I could see maybe an Ocean's Thirteen run, like 35/110. It's not making $150m ever.

its looks maretable enough. my worry was it wouldnt cool or have any flare or style, but it certainly does. if they market is like its gonan be an 80-100 million opener, itll top 50. But thats what itll take to get word of mouth to spread: big audiences early.

no fucking way it gets close to 80 million, my point was they need to advertise as a HUGE blockbuster, the kind of the movie youd expect to do 80+. If they do that, trek WILL top 50 million opening weekend, even with the name being a huge buzzkill/turn off/gay.
