Re: The Avatar(Avatanic) Prediction | Tracking Thread
Avatar's 2010 domestic gross alone will be enough to sink Titanic's $601 million all-time record. Not to mention that Avatar's foreign box office in 2010 will easily pass $1.84 billion

Re: The Avatar(Avatanic) Prediction | Tracking Thread
Anyone else noticed the trend in foreign markets? Very soon the WW split will be 30-/70+ of Domestic/foreign percentages. What that means is if Avatar reaches $900 million domestic, its WW total should be over $3 billion

Re: The Avatar(Avatanic) Prediction | Tracking Thread
Avatar is now 36 million ahead of TDK
Should be 60 million by the end of the weekend...
Shows where Avatar will end.

For a second I thought you really meant WW, but then I realized you meant foreign To pass Titanic WW, Avatar will need an impressive 6th weekend of $43.5 domestic. Very difficult, but not impossible for Avatanic

Re: The Avatar(Avatanic) Prediction | Tracking Thread
Why keep people forgetting that the thursday OS gross is included in the weekend gross, at least for the most part?
It might do $100+m but with thursday included.

Re: The Avatar(Avatanic) Prediction | Tracking Thread
No way, it did $129m last weekend (including thursday) with Italy opening (contributing $15m).
It probably won't even hit $100m this weekend (again, including thursday).

It probably won't even hit $100m this weekend (again, including thursday). Again, only a couple of countries include Thursday in the weekend, as discussed a few weeks ago.

Re: The Avatar(Avatanic) Prediction | Tracking Thread
Well, the weekend clearly include thursday as evidenced week after week. You got mon-wed dailies reported and then weekend.
It's true though that mon-wed plus weekend doesn't always add up to the week gross so there seem to be some markets that count the thursday separately. Or maybe some markets are late reporting their dailies. It's difficult to know what's going on...
