Besides Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows Part 1, I only plan to create one other INTL. thread for this year, which one do you guys want to see
* Clash Of The Titans * Toy Story 3 * Prince Of Persia * Inception * Chronicles of Narnia: Dawn Treader
I'm not really interested in any of the other big movies so I'll leave those ones to my colleagues.
I will make my decision this time next week with your feedback. Clash of the titans

Toy Story 3 definitely. Should comfortably be the next biggest OS grosser of the year.

As of March 14:
Domestic: $730,344,000 (27.7%) + Foreign: $1,908,000,000 (72.3%) ---------------------------------------- = Worldwide: $2,638,344,000
If we go by BOM estimates from last week, that's a $29m week OS i believe.

If we go by BOM estimates from last week, that's a $29m week OS i believe. Looks to fall short of $2bilioon, I say another $200m or so not including the proposed rerelease. It's already beaten Titanic's entire Worldwide gross with just the overseas gross alone.

BTW, according to HR the OS number is $1.914 billion and when it comes to OS numbers I trust HR over BOM.

Re: Avatar (INTL.) - Pick the Followup
HR probably has Puerto Rico included in the OS gross, hence it's wrong (since counted twice). So, you still think $2b is possible, Lecter? Would need some monster late legs...

They were always about $5m ahead week after week, i think that's not a coincidence but as said Puerto Rico.

HR weekend reportQuote: Third was 20th Century Fox's "Avatar," which grossed $17 million from about 4,000 screens in 69 markets, pushing the film's record-breaking overseas cume to $1.914 billion after 13 rounds in release. Worldwide, director James Cameron's 3D spectacle has rolled up a cume of $2.644 billion. My additions skills are so bad today...$200m will give it $2.114 billion LOL. It needs $76m to hit $2billion now, achievable for sure.

Should be pretty big on UK/Japan at least. Wasn't Toy Story 2 pretty massive in Britain? And that was before the international market had its big explosion this decade.

UNITED KINGDOM - All-Time (Pounds)Toy Story 2 held the record for an animted pic in local pounds for 4 years until Shrek 2. It's the 2nd largest animated flick of all-time and one of only two animated movies to crack 40m pounds. It almost doubled Toy Story 1's original gross and remains to this date Pixar's largest ever release in the country. Over the past year, only HP6 and Avatar managed to gross more than 40m pounds. Last year's two biggest animated pics Ice Age 3 and Up topped out at around 35m pounds. While the year before that, Madagascar 2 and Wall-E fought each other at around the 23m pounds mark. This year looks to be the biggest yet, with Shrek 4 and Toy Story 3 sure to beat 35m pounds now with 3D. Toy Story 3 will beat Shrek 4 for sure due to the nostalgia and i won't be surprised if we saw 50m pounds for this. 1 AVATAR (FOX) TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX £71,936,392 Dec. 18, 2009 2 MAMMA MIA! Bigger than most Dreamworks, Fox and all Pixar pics up to its release. Since then Ratatouille ($34m), Dinosaur ($42.5m), Wall-E ($44m), Up ($54m), The Incredibles ($55m), Monsters Inc ($80m) and Finding Nemo ($107m) have beaten Toy Story 2's gross. Only Cars has failed to beat Toy Story 2 in the Pixar stable. Though of course, most of the local animated pics by Studio Ghibli and some Pokemon pics have grossed more. Given Pixar's recent performance and this being a sequel, expect at least $50m with Monsters Inc's total the next target. I don't see this beating Finding Nemo.

Re: Avatar (INTL.) - Pick the Followup
In Germany Avatar looks to have dropped around 23% this weekend (in admissions) and should stand at 10.17 million admissions now. Still the #13 movie of all-time (well, since 1968). I think 11 million is not totally out of question yet and 10.5 million is a lock. At worst it'll finish as #12, just ahead of Return of the King. At best it'll end up as #10.
